hi. i followed these instructions. when i type "chmod a+x (and then start.command)" and then try to open start.command. it does not produce files and says "/users/user/Desktop/server\ bukkit/start.command ; exit; logout

any ideas? much appreciated :D

@minecraftjdbc hmm... I updated what should go into the start.command, so try re copying and pasting it. Let me know if that works or not.

Port Map doesn't work, it says ROUTER INCOMPATIBLE and for some reason the putting start.command in Terminal doesn't work. it says I don't have permission. How to I a. fix the port map thing and b. get Terminal to give me permission? (I have a Macbook Pro btw, is that part of the problem?)

@shimmertail13 Macbook pro should be fine, and as long as you have Administrative controls (make sure you are listed as an "Administrator" under User Settings). That should take care of the permission thing. As of port map issue, unfortunately you type of router won't allow for 3rd party applications. Try to set your permissions straight, and it might solve itself, but do understand a few routers don't allow indirect port forwarding.

I've done everything exactly how you did 3 times now and still get the FAILED TO PORT issue. The SOPA protest wouldn't be affecting this would it?
