@rosieh93 You are right, this video is a parody of a1980s video dating montage. It came about as a fun project that the students wanted to do outside of their regular curriculum. Unlike the other films you see on our channel, this was not created as a part of their coursework. If you are interested, there is a Q&A with one of the creators of Monster Date on the VFS blog vfs(dot)com/blog where she talks about being inspired by the 80s montage she saw.
