  • If you ready for zombie, i don't think you need armor plate, you just need anti melee plate on your entire body. if you deal with Armageddon maybe you need body armor only. however, if you got shot on the leg only you will die infection in few days. it does not matter how you prepare. the best prepare is hoping it will never happens.

  • @moistfaucet I'm not too worried about any of that. I just needed something truly modular for camping/hunting/shooting in general. If I ever do need to "bug out" (which I doubt ever happens) I can use this to carry more junk and distribute the weight better. The ability to carry plates is irrelevent to me because I don't want to get shot at all, with or without plate. Especially not when I'm alone or with only my family.

  • It cant hold plates! means nothing if it cant!

  • @SOLDERBOY69 Are you saying it can't hold plates as in "it isn't made to hold plates" or do you mean it as in "it's made to hold plates but it doesn't work so it won't hold plates"? It is made to hold plates but I didn't buy it for that purpose so I have never put plates in it, so I don't know if there are any problems with that part of the design or not.

  • @ghillisniper300 Why would you buy a plate carrier to not hold plates? Condor is an airsoft only brand, I have seen many of those models rip with steel and ceramic plates inside. If I were you I would have ditched the MC color and bought the Eagle brand for the 40 bucks more and have peace of mind.

The other problems with this rig is the drag handle breaks quick and you cant get in or out of it fast enough or quiet enough. They had the right idea for weight distribution but bad design

  • @SOLDERBOY69 I bought a "tactical" vest once that was advertised to be modular but wasn't. I wanted an entry level load bearing vest that was actually modular and this seemed to be a good choice for me. So far I love it and I've been running it for a couple of years, so I think I made a good choice.

Also, they sell Condor on military bases to military personnel so I don't think it is "airsoft only".

  • Do you have to be military to buy this or can a civilian get one too?

  • @ChromeDove Anyone can buy them. There are tons of places you can shop online for these. My favorties are Opsgear, USPatriotTactical, and GMS. But there are others that I'm just not remembering right now.

  • @ghillisniper300 I tried Opsgear and they have restrictions for civilians. They only sell to military or Police.

  • @ChromeDove Bummer! I didn't know that. That's funny that USPatriotTactical sold me mine and supposedly that is run by people in the military primarily for military people! You might just do a google search for the item and then do some price shopping.

  • @ghillisniper I have the condor quick releasepmate carrier and with plates and all my my ammo 9 ak mags and 2 drums I have never had a problem with it releasing but the dam thing is as uncomfortable as hell its to bulky and u should chrleck out cheaperthandirt they have both there the quick release is 100$ and urs is 59$

  • @tompad20 I think that's in a different pattern. I've checked them before and they didn't even have the MultiCam one at the time.

That's cool that the release doesn't fail with that much weight! How much does your rig weigh all together?

  • Having issues drawing from magazines on the front of this plate carrier. Seems there isn't enough velcro for it to remain stable and the corners flay out. Will try re-adjusting everything for a better fit to see if it helps. 6'2 213lbs is my build running 4x double m4 pouches up front have esapi plates in for my ar15 carbine setup. Third plate carrier for me hope I can get this one to work out for me.

  • @SoCalTactical There's a snap strap to hold it down too, haven't noticed it with mine. ;-) Cheers.

  • @SoCalTactical That's a bummer. I haven't had issues pulling mags with mine but I'm not running it nearly as heavy as that either. I'll ask around and see if anyone has had issues with that. I've had another person tell me theirs does that as well. I hope I don't have that issue when I load this down more. Thanks.

  • @SoCalTactical i suggest instead of buying 3 100$ plate carriers., buy 1 300$ one.., and it'll last a lifetime..., check out London Bridge Trading Company, you wont be dissapointed., hell its only green backs..

  • @ghillisniper300 Idiot, the amount of time it took you to crunch down and toss your pistol on the ground was way longer than the amount of time it could have taken you to do immediate action and get the pistol up again. Also, throwing a hot weapon is not safe. You sir are an amateur and should not be giving any reviews on anything.

  • @freedumbification That would be true if it were the kind failure that you think it is. It wasn't. That was NOT a "tap, rack" failure. I know because it is the only failure that pistol has ever had. You have to lock the slide back, drop the mag, shake the spent cartridge out, reinsert the mag, and shotgun the slide. It takes longer than a "tap, rack". If you like to stand there clearing jams when you could reengage with a primary weapon be my guest. Also, that wasn't a hot pistol.

  • @ghillisniper300 dont you think reloading is just as quick as pulling out a pistol now i am a hunter and so haven't needed to tactically engage anything but i do carry a pistol grip shotty on a single point sling along with my M4 which i use to hunt coyotes and since when hunting you can only have a five round mag certain areas i find myself reloads a lot when distracted by squirrels couldn't imagine pulling out a pistol to ever be more effective plus the shotty is extremely easy to grab

  • @deej1478 Switching to a secondary weapons is typically faster than reloading depending on your setup. I try to practice both because it also depends on the situation. We've done some testing of it with timers and with practice (doing both) a person can usually take half as long to switch to a pistol than it takes them to reload. However, you wouldn't really do that if the shot you needed to take was 50 yards or more away. It just depends.

  • Awesome re-holster at the end. I usually just throw my loaded weapon on the ground if I have a ftf too. Sorry I'm not usually a hater but please. Also, get some fucking plates don't be a half asser.

  • @freedumbification I threw it on the ground because if something of mine is acting like a piece of junk there is a chance I'm going to treat it as such. And actually if you have a target that you haven't hit yet you don't really have time to re-holster. You can re-holster after you've hit the target a few times.

Finally, I have no reason to get plates and I don't have the money to throw after them at this point. I have to prioritize.

  • NO PLATES= GAY

  • @c0dered987 I wasn't aware of this rule. Thanks for letting me know.

  • It sits high so that the plate sits in the proper location to cover your vitals. If the plate is low, the plate is useless. I don't like it either, but it is what it is. We just need taller plates.

  • What kind of pistol was that? Should be carrying Glock, lol.

  • @glockfan86 I'm a fan of Glocks, though I don't own one yet. Most pistol for your dollar, in my opinion. That was a faulty Kel Tec PF9. I'm working with Kel Tec to get it sorted though. Thanks!

  • @ghillisniper300 How's kel-tec's customer service?

  • @m249a1 They are pretty good. Like any other CS they kind of tried to blame the problems on ammunition but I told them if it couldn't function with that ammo they could buy their gun back from me. Since then they've been top notch.

  • evike sells the same thing for 63 dollars. You got ripped off

  • @Firepeach141 I'm looking on their website right now and it says $106.25. You might make sure you're looking at the same rig, in the same camo pattern. They have some other stuff like H-harnesses and other chest rigs that are cheaper, but the Modular Operater Plate Carrier in MultiCam is $106.25 on that website.

  • @ghillisniper300 oh there modular operater plate carrier that im getting in black and its 63 dollars. my bad

  • I'm getting one of these soon. Can you tighten the cummerbund in the back?

  • @AsaBay2 I don't believe so. There are two strap and buckles, one on either side, and you can "tighten" the cummerbund by just overlapping the hook and loop when you bring it around the front. If that makes sense.

  • @ghillisniper300 Ok, I it looked like near the end of the video the MOLLE was hanging out a little by elastic straps, I'm trying to see how I can get it to stay completely in the back.

  • @AsaBay2 I don't think I'm following what you're getting at. I'll try to watch the video. If you get a chance let me know about what the time mark is on what you are seeing and I'll try to see what it is. Thanks.

  • @AsaBay2 Ah, I think I see what you're talking about @9:40. It looks like I need to make some adjustments to at least center that cumerbund up. And I need to look at more recent footage to see how it looks. What I did in this video was leave the left side hook and loop where it was in the front and just pulled the right side over futher to get the girth right, which pulls that elastic more to the right on my back.

  • @ghillisniper300 Oh, I see what you mean. That part of the video kinda scared me though because I want this thing to not have anything hanging like that.

  • @AsaBay2 It should be adjustable to the point where it won't be out like that. That video was some footage from the second time I ran it I believe. I'll mess with it and make sure I've gotten it fixed. Good eyes.

  • @ghillisniper300 I got mine today actually (when else? lol) found that the two sides of the cummerbund are attached in the back and can be tightened. However, I still had to overlap the elastic parts and use safety pins to get it tight enough. I still like the vest though.

  • @AsaBay2 Sweet. I'll have to tear mine apart again and look at it. Last time I had it apart I didn't realize it could be tweaked in the back. Thanks!

  • @AsaBay2 I took the elastic parts out and had the cumberbund stitched to the plate carrier. it works and doesnt look bad at all

  • @TheMr1911dude I might try that too, thanks

  • oh ma i love the Romans patch

  • @CHICKENNNNNNNNN Thanks. One of my favorites.

  • @ghillisniper300 Me to, Were do you think I could find one ?

  • @CHICKENNNNNNNNN I had my aunt make the patches. I once found a website that would custom make patches but they were a bit high for what you got. I'll try to find it again and let you know.

  • never play that music again

  • @juggalolie1 Kind of "80's" isn't it?!

  • Well I got one! It fits me pretty good, I got in in OD and it looks great! Just tell me if you want me to post a video. It's awesome!

  • @coltbet23 Yeah if you have time post a vid with your thoughts and all. I'm glad you like yours. I'm still a big fan of mine. Thanks.

  • i can get these for $64..

  • @The3dperez Keep in mind, I bought mine 2 years ago and it is MultiCam. The price is coming down but normally the sites that show these for that low are selling a different pattern.

  • @The3dperez where?

  • @The3dperez

can you message me the link to find one of those at that price? I can't seem to find one

    thanks

    thanks

  • 103 bucks? i've seen those sell for 60-80

  • @NHairsofter They are starting to come down a little in price but most of them for that low of a price are not Multicam. I've seen plenty for $60 that are coyote tan and some that low that are ACU but so far I've only seen one close to that price in Multicam and that was only here recently.

  • This plate carrier sucks. The front panel flops around.

  • @xXSgtWolfXx Mine doesn't. I'm not sure what's up with yours but mine has been great.

  • @ghillisniper300 You know that front panel where you put the cummerbund underneath? I have all my mag pouches on that panel and with 8 mags, the velcro on the front panel always detaches and it flops around like a pair of sagging tits. Maybe it doesn't do that for you because you have less weight on the front panel (judging from the video, dunno if you've changed it since then)

  • @xXSgtWolfXx I haven't yet put as many mags on it as I want to but it doesn't seem like it will be a problem. I've pulled and tugged on that thing repeatedly with as much weight as I can put in it and it doesn't budge unless I grab the back piece and forcibly rip the front panel out.

Oh, have you snapped that strap underneath? I know it won't keep it from coming undone but it could keep it from flopping as much.

  • @ghillisniper300 Yeah I snapped it but it's just a small flimsy piece of nylon with a button closure on it, it doesn't help with the flopping around issue. It sucks when you're trying to run, slows you down a lot. Anyways I'm looking into a Maritime or Land CIRAS, I tried my friends MARCIRAS on and it doesn't flop at all. I dunno why my MOPC has that issue though.

  • @xXSgtWolfXx sounds defective. my OD green vest has 8 mags n a lota other crap on it includind pistol mad\gs...no velcro comin undone. not since i bot it n feb 11

  • Thanks man, I really appreciate it!

  • One question, I'm 5'1" 110 lbs, would this vest fit me at all. I want it to kind of ride low with my combat shirt, and I don't want it to be too low. Would it cost less for an ACU version? Please message back. Thank you

  • @coltbet23 I'm not really sure how it would fit you. I have mine about as small as you can make it for summer running. I'm sure you could get it smaller, I know you could around the girth of it but probably not over the shoulders. But if you want it to run low that may not be an issue although it might bounce around more.

ACU or tan will be much cheaper than the MultiCam one. When I bought mine they were $20 to $40 cheaper I believe although I'm not sure how it stacks up now. Thanks.

  • @coltbet23 it will fit you! I'm 5'3" and I run a Medium. but I prefer larges for the extra 1/4 inch protection with the sapi's!

  • @coltbet23 I would say no. I am 5-7 115 pounds and with plates it just fits me.

  • I got the multicam on amazon for 84 bucks

  • @Viktoriuslee Are you sure it's MultiCam? I looked on Amazon and they didn't have it for less than $100.

  • @ghillisniper300 Yeah I'll message you the link.

  • yes that is something that a lot of military or law enforcement forget to look at is airsoft supply shops. the same gear or gear production companies are also represented at airsoft stores for a considerable price reduction. When I was in Japan, there is a plethora of American and Japanese as well as European gear manufacturers that are so very affordable. Wish more people would shop there and not let biases interfere with quality stuff.

  • hey man u can adjust that mopc alil more if u replace the shitty cord on the cumberbund with 550. just letting u know

  • will this fit me im 4 7

  • @burley6799 It might not but then again it might. I have the shoulder straps about as tight as they can go for summer running but I could overlap the hook and loop flaps on the lower end to make it tighter around my gut if I needed to (which I definitely don't need it tighter there). If you don't mind it riding lower it may work but it may also bounce around some (maybe). If you run a pistol on your waist that could be a problem but if you run it on your thigh or on the vest it won't.

  • no... :[ but i will make a video soon of what i am getting all web photos and its all pretty much begginer stuff but when its all said and done it will look pretty legit i thought of the scheme myself so i hope you will enjoy the the video

  • no... :[ but i will make a video soon of what i am getting all web photos and its all pretty much begginer stuff but when its all said and done it will look pretty legit i thought of the scheme myself so i hope you will enjoy the the video

  • no... :[

  • have you tried it with a pistol belt? i was thinking of getting it and was wondering how it would work with a GI issue pistol belt on(want to run dump pouches and my holster on it) i was origionaly going to get the bigger one(it goes down to the waist area) but i heard this one was shorter so i thought a belt would be a good option to run with it.

  • i got it for $63 on evike and i got it in a week and a half

  • @TheGamersGuy was it MultiCam?

  • is saw this same exact vest from condor for 70 dollars and the quick release version for 94 dollars on an airsoft website of all places. and they have it in stock directly from their warehouse in California. sadly i forget what site it was from, just when i was searching condor vests on google.

  • @AwokenDemon I'd be skeptical if it is the real thing. Maybe it is, but I've been burned before buying "tactical vests" that weren't really tactical vests. If it is this vest then that would be a steal.

  • @ghillisniper300 Seen at U.S. Cavalry for $69.99 - $109.99 depending on the camo patern which explain the price you paid and the waiting time.

  • @ghillisniper300 actually i screwed up, i went to go look and found it its the price for the ACU version not Multicam, sorry haha. No but the price you paid is pretty good for the mulicam. Like 5 dollars cheaper. (only i have a cupon for the other place, 16%off. I would get a pretty good deal too if i decided to order it.

  • @AwokenDemon That makes sense. MultiCam is in such high demand that it commands a much higher price and a wait. I've seen this vest in OD, tan, and ACU in many places for that lower amount and it ships within 3 days or so.

  • i got the vest for 99.99 on the cheaperthandirt website i didnt have to wait for back order it was on hand love the vest

  • @Blakster1357 WOW! I haven't been to cheaperthandirt in a long time becuase they burned me once. But that's a great deal especially with no backorder. Nice.

  • @Blakster1357 how did they burn you?

  • @Blakster1357 I bought a UTG "tactical" vest that was marketted by CTD to be fully modular. I spent about $75 on it and got it home and nothing on it is modular at all. The pistol mag pouches are not adjustable and can't hold my USP .45 mags, the pistol holster can't hold my USP and can't be moved at all. There's also the issue that I signed up to get an e-mail when they got 7.62X39 ammo in stock but then never e-mailed me. I suppose I owe them one more strike!

  • 5:16 thats what she said

  • So what exactly do you do with this stuff? Doesn't seem practical in a civilian setting...

  • @Brandonduboff it isn't the most practical thing, but then neither are giant TV's and giant 4X4's and the like that most people want to buy just because. I use it for fun mostly. Since I can buy an AR15 I also want something that allows me to carry the necessary equipment to go along with that AR15. Sure I'll never need to carry 240 rounds of 5.56 NATO in mags (we hope), but why not get something that allows me to do so?

  • @ghillisniper300 For the same reason I can't, nor should I, start an explosives collection. 1 there are better things to spend or save your money (if you ever plan on having children, college funds etc) 2 Is there nothing safe and productive you could and should spend your money on for a hobby 3 collecting and stock piling guns is a scary thing. With all that said, if your happy doing it, then nothing of what I just said should matter. "Whatever floats your boat" ...thnx for the response

  • @Brandonduboff I respectfully disagree. There is nothing scary about collecting firearms. Firearms should scare us less than cars or horses, because they are safer. Firearms by themselves are benign. But yes, for about $200 to $250 I can have a military style system for carrying gear. Do I need that? Not really, but if I have an AR I kind of do if I want to shoot the way I like to shoot. That's not much money, honestly. Less than a small TV. Thanks and have a great day.

  • @ghillisniper300 how much is an AR bullets and gear together? now that's more then a small tv right? its a serious hobby you have here.

  • @Brandonduboff I have a few thousand dollars worth, but they'll last my entire life and the lives of my children and the lives of their children. It is a serious hobby, but then golf is as expensive as shooting, as is going to professional sports games and some people I know spend more on going to the movies. It's a matter of preference. My hobby has particular historical significance as well, and is just what I choose to do with my time and money. I'm not sure why I love it but I do.

  • @ghillisniper300 nice retort =) I like how you know who you are, what you like, and what you want. Even tho we may have differences of opinion, you know exactly where you stand. Good stuff

  • @Brandonduboff And I thank you for being very respectful in this discussion. I appreciate it very much and I like having these kinds of discussions even (and especially) when I disagree with the other side.

May I ask what drew you to watch this video?

  • Good video buddy! That Condor Molle belt is junk, thats the only thing ive saw that doesnt pass the test. Three of us have Molle combat belts, mine is High Speed Gear, best friend has the Viking Tactical battle belt, other guy has a Condor. Little bit more money will get you a way better belt. Everything else ive found from Condor now a days seems to be pretty well made stuff.

  • @WyomingJoshuaAK47 What stinks about their belt? I don't know that I would buy one but if I thought I had a use for it I would consider it. Sounds like I may need to avoid it thought. Thanks.

  • @ghillisniper300 Its just junk and you can tell when theres two good ones near it. Its also not reinforced which i think would drive me nuts. Supported me when i was shooting at it kept the belt from sagging where ever there was more weight. Not alot of thought went into that Condor belt and it shows. They sewed some molle on condura, threw some mesh on the back and made it able for a riggers belt to be ran threw it, put on some D rings and waited to see if some meat heads would "go cheap".

  • @ghillisniper300 IF that guy ever gets anything for his belt i'll report back. Whats the cost on those Condor belts? $35 - $40, for twice that you can get something thats alot better made and will preform alot better. If you had someone who didnt know anything about Tac Gear and layed the three belts out and told him to choose, im 100% sure the Condor one wouldnt get picked up. If you showed it to me without me not already knowing in was made from Condor.... i would have believed you.

  • @ghillisniper300 Quality took a nose dive big time. Keeping the price down hoping more people would jump vs. making something great. Why they did it? Who knows man. Marketing or something i guess. Everything else ive bought from them has worked out great or pretty well. After seeing that Condor belt im glad i went the way i did. All MOLLE belts are created equal i guess!

  • I have been impressed with some of the condor stuff it's really high value. The stitching is decent and rugged enough for my uses.

  • What pistol was the one you had to toss to the side?

  • @VeracityNation That's the Kel Tec PF9. I'm working through some issues with it, trying to do some trouble shooting (literally) with it. When I got it the extractor exited the gun so I had them send me a new one. I installed it and I'm still have issues with extraction. It will pull a case part of the way out but not all the way. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all, sometimes it happens once or twice per mag. With all ammos too. I need to get it worked out for sure.

  • I got mine at Cheaperthandirt . com (item number: MOLLE-865) for 99 bucks. Check them out for more pouches.I like your videos, please keep them coming.

  • @rocaber Thanks for the information, I appreciate it. Cheaperthandirt burned me a few times so I never even looked at them when I was in the market.
