  • I am a christian but I am really inspired of you how positive and a good person that you are and how you enjoy life.

  • Thank You Edward. Wonderful video. Welcome to the A team ... finally. I really love your button. Did you make it yourself or are these now being sold in stores? I expect we'll be seeing quite a few more of these buttons, bumper stickers and t-shirts being displayed as our collective universal consciousness continues to expand.

  • Thanks, Edward, for a very eloquent and heart-warming video. You are so right. And IO so agree that eternal life probably would get somewhat tedious after the first trillion centuries :D

  • I believe myself that the universe is full of things which I consider a "wonder" without god being any part of that equation. One of the greatest wonders, despite the existing of the universe itself, is, for my opinion, the human mind. No "god" can be greater than our ability to think, no freedom greater than an educated mind. You, kind Sir, are within your highly evolved thoughtpatterns a bright example for what future humans hopefully grow up to be one day. You have my deepest respect.

  • Actually this question was dealt with a long time ago. The german philosopher Nietzsche wrote a very text in "Ecce Homo", in which he statet that two things can happen when humanity finally overcomes religion. #1 Nihilism. Without the concept of eternity, nothing has worth. #2 Embracing, what you argued wonderfully, and what he wished to happen.

  • What made you become an atheist ? Since non belief doesn't come to a person overnight. it a gradual process of events that eventually leads to a decision and ultimate rejection of God. You cannot prove God but cannot disprove him either, scientifically. Yet you made a conscious choice of rejecting him, I am curious to know why?

  • @Eltsacwenify "Yet you made a conscious choice of rejecting him"

Why "reject"? Why this thing with "rejection"? Why think that not believing the existence of gods (in which the god God is included as just another god) is a rejection?

    Watch this video:

    /watch?v=-j8ZMMuu7MU

it explains not only this "rejection" thing but also this wrong notion of "choosing" not to believe. One does not "choose" to believe things or not, one is compeled to believe or not if the thing seems true or false to one

  • @Eltsacwenify "Yet you made a conscious choice of rejecting him” --> not believing doesn't = rejection

For example: if you told me you have a beautiful friend that would love to meet me and all I have to do is agree to pay you to set up the blind date, I probably wouldn’t believe you. You could show me a picture of a girl and say that its her, but I still won’t hand over the cash.

  • @Eltsacwenify Saying no isn’t rejecting her, if i meet her in person I might decide to agree, but since there is no evidence that would suggest your actually trying to set me up with her and not trying to con me I would say no.

Rejection would happen if you brought her along, introduced us, and I flat out said, “No, I don’t ever want to see her again"

  • @Eltsacwenify Invisible Pink Unicorn can't be disproven scientifically. Why do you choose to reject her?

  • To me, it would appear that Christianity is far more nihilistic than atheism. With atheism, as far as we know, this is the only life that matters. With Christianity, this life is just a test. Why even bother with it, then? Why worry about human suffering here when every soul you "save" get eternal bliss? I wish this was just posturing, but sadly, this type of thinking has justified various political policies, such as stripping environmental protection laws.

  • Edward, I would like to hear from other ex-catholic priests who are now either atheists or agnostics, Do you know of any?

  • @okarab, no, I don't. I have e-mail contact with two of my seminary classmates who like me departed from the priesthood after a few years, but I don't have any firm evidence that they are either atheist or agnostic.

  • Thank you ewardtarte I think you said it all pretty well, and I for one appreciate it.

  • is that a criss angel logo? die hard criss angel fan I guess..

  • @hoaxhunter, no, it is an atheist button.

  • @edwardtarte

If you push the Atheist button does it de-convert someone?

  • Well put, you are a great example for other humans.

  • really enjoyed the video, you seem a very wise man

  • You are a truly wise and admirable man as a young atheist this almost brought a tear of joy to my eye thank you for showing me that life is short and to be enjoyed

  • Nothing but admiration for you sir.

  • Yeah, atheists have nothing to live for, right? We are just a bunch of bored people waiting to die, aren't we?

All we get to do is have unprotected sex, hold parties on Sundays, not starve ourselves during Lent, live withour fear of some supernatural boogeyman...

  • What keeps me alive is exactly what keeps wild animals alive: Survival instinct.

  • You're a very wise man.. you have heart and an artistic side. Very bright person you are, cheers.

  • God isn't about proving Himself, He's about getting us out of this decaying paradigm & at the same time finding out who His real friends are...

  • @beringseal BS. If your god loved everyone, and wanted everyone to believe, then it would be trivial to provide evidence. Refusing to provide that evidence is indicative of a god that requires followers who are gullible, who are not critical thinkers. If your god actually cared about whether or not I believe then testable evidence would have been provided.

  • Theism...Atheism, both hold similar values to me.

Both claim something they should not be able to know.

If you feel interested to talk about things such as this. Please leave a pm and lets converse.

    ~Jkun~

  • @Jkun "Theism...Atheism, both hold similar values to me." Then you do not understand the position expressed by Atheism. Theism is the assertion that god exists, while Atheism is simply the position that Theism fails to prove its assertion. These positions are quite clearly different in type, not just in direction. Atheism is NOT the position that god does not exist, no matter how often Theists claim it is.

  • @TheMonk72

That may be "your" definition of the word. But in the bulk that is Atheism, I mainly find people that do not believe god exists.(period)

And since we humans are the only beings that place any worth into words, I think it's fair to say that if I find more Atiests around that say no gods exist than the ones that keep it open. Don't you think it is right to say that, regardless of one's own definition of the word.

    (next comment =.=; )

  • @TheMonk72

The meaning with greater numbers behind it will in the end, be the meaning humanity makes it out to be, in the greater sense.

Not to mention the description of Atheism on wikipedia and such.

If you want to talk about this stuff further, please leave me a pm.

Also, take me seriously. Trollish messages will just be a waste of your time.

    ~Jkun~

  • @Jkun "Not to mention the description of Atheism on wikipedia and such." Here is the first line of the Wikipedia entry on Atheism:

WP: "Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities."

Rejection of belief. In other words, we do not believe that deities (including your god) exist. The next line speaks of a "narrow sense" where atheism means belief that god does not exist, although the sources cited for this both strongly indicate the broader sense.

  • @TheMonk72

    You're missing the entire point.

We do not know if there exists such an entity we can call "god"

So the rejection of the idea of god, in the way that people do it. Is totally wrong.

A better way would be to say; "I do not blindly believe in what you say about "god", but I do believe in the possibility that there could exist such a thing."

Acknowledging the fact that you DO NOT KNOW. Is very important. Thus I have to say both Atheism and Theism are basically the same.

    ~Jkun~

  • @Jkun "You're missing the entire point." I understand what you are saying, I just don't agree with it. Your assertion that Atheism and Theism are basically the same is invalidated by the fact that the Atheist stance of disbelief is not diametrically opposed to the Theist stance of absolute belief. Atheists in general do not say "there is no god" or any such expression of certainty, they simply do not accept the certainty of Theists. You appear to be equivocating Atheism with Antitheism.

  • @TheMonk72

I don't think so, Most, if not all atheists talk about their convictions towards the idea of god as if the truth. They never say "I don't believe as you do, but I believe in the possibility" Never, do I see that in conversations about god.

It is always, "god doesn't exist" Or "Flying spagetti monster"

They don't show that they take the correct stance, thus I say Atheism does indeed mean that. Since we make the rules, if enough people want it, it will be so. -.-

    ~Jkun~

  • I only have one problem with this video. the sound is too low.

  • @Riathsin I hope that by "the sound is too low" you mean that it's views have not reached something in the neighborhood of 6 billion

  • @bcatgrappler as a realist I know that is not possible, but I mean literally the volume is too low.

  • Atheists live for now and today, not a pretend afterlife.

  • 2:18 I thought about that too...I really don't want to live forever. No one can stand 1 millions years without getting bored, no matter how much video games, Tv, sports or sex you can get.

  • Beautiful video, sir. People who think atheists have no hope because they don't believe in a god have a severely distorted and sad view of life. Their belief system is one that denigrates human beings for being who they are. It's akin to racism, where an individual is judged on factors that are outside of his control, except applied to one's own species. I hope that these people will one day take the antidote of reason to flush the poison of faith from their minds.

  • Hey a sousa fan too :D

  • sanity, how refreshing. thankyou Edward

  • i think it's funny that christians think that. I actually feel like i value life MORE than i would if i was a christian. I want to make the best out of life since idk what is going to happen when i die. I'm not just going to give up on living or commit suicide because (if i was a christian) i know that a god will take care of me. I know there wont be so I want to get every last breath out of me that i can. I have EVERYTHING to live for.

  • Edward, thank you. I'm glad that you're as caring as you are for no other reason than you want to be better person. You are an inspiration.

  • This man is incredible!

  • I will always remember this video. Thank you for taking the time to upload it.

  • I'm an Atheist and i believe in Me and People.

  • This was truly beautiful.

It's really a wonderful thing when you can marvel at the universe for the amazing place that it is.

If only people were more informed. Thank you for this video. You have no idea how uplifting it is. Thank you.

  • We are all going to die. On the other hand, while we are here, we have food, drink, love, science, sport, literature, philosophy and fun arguments to have about the existence of God and the afterlife!

  • I disagree with you that eternal life is not desirable. I DO want to live forever. I am disappointed to find out that I will not. I have to accept my unfortunate biological mortality.

  • The stoic philosophers said it was more noble to reconcile oneself with fate than to anaesthetise oneself with false consolations, and destruction and pain are the result of reality intruding into one's false notions. A correct judgement of the world can be a consolation in itself.

  • i hate that fact a lot christians think atheists have nothing to live for its bullshit we have only one life so i want to enjoy it

  • @MrLovejoy91 the problem is that i don´t really see much point in enjoying it now when once i cease to exist and won´t remember enjoying it (or not) or transform into something else because i won´t exist...can´t help it i guess

  • @roose468 well you can be miserable for your entire life and die with regrets or you can do the things you want to and be happy

  • @MrLovejoy91 well that doesn´t really solve my problem but whatever-and just to make things clear, i´m not saying i don´t enjoy this life or that enjoying it is wrong..sorry if it sounded that way...anyway this is a problem that can´t be solved in a day, so don´t worry, I´ll work it out myself one day (I hope)

  • @MrLovejoy91 are you a athiest??? im 15 and im starting to not belive in god just because alot of it donsent make sense to me and i was wondering if that makes me a athiest

  • @TheDwoods14 That depends on who your talking to and the context of the conversation.

Technically since you don’t believe in a god your an atheist. But some people use different definitions

  • This is one of the best videos I have ever seen. THANK YOU for this.

  • Very eloquent.

    Keep enjoying life.

  • You inspire me im 14 and an atheist. Can you please help me cope with death it really bothers me. I do not know why. I need help.

  • @jakes197 You don't really need help cause everyone (or at least most of us) are afraid of death. Why? mostly because we are afraid of the unknown. But in my own opinion, the root of all human fears is the fear of not being in control of the situation that you are in. Though this ideal could in fact be wrong, I am open to constructive criticism.

  • @jakes197 You return to the state before birth, Does the state before your birth bother you ? I don`t have many years to live, and i feel quite at ease with the idea that... This is it... Nothing else. ...

  • There are only three things keeping me alive (being an atheist or that of a relgion to me wouldn't matter in this) 1. I love my friends so much that I couldn't bear to hurt them by giving up. 2. I love food 3. Hope that someday I will love life for the first time in many years.

  • Well said.

  • You are awesome! Thanks for your beautifully poetic logic good sir.

  • You're the man!

  • Sartre, J-P. Existentialism and Humanism. "... if God does not exist there is at least one being whose existence comes before its essence, a being which exists before it can be defined by any conception of it. That being is man.... " For your reading and edification: marxists.org/reference/archive/sartre/works/exist/sartre

  • That was a beautiful monologue. And I love chess.

  • Here's a good question. Why do christians and other non athiest ask stupid ass questions?

  • @lilprincekilla That is actually a stupid question. Yes I know it was supposed to be rhetoric but nevertheless must be addressed. By focusing your criticisms on a certain group of people is just plain childish because your reasoning can also be applied to atheists as well. In every group created for humans, there will always be a person that would ask a stupid question at least once in their short life time.

  • You bring tears to my eyes. As an atheist, I don't look to a deity for solace, but rather to my fellow humans, and to the awe inspiring world around me. Knowing you are out there makes the world a much better place for me, Mr. Tarte. Thank you so much.

  • religions what made us who we are now, religions has transfered us from talking animals to humans that are responsible for our actions, im sure you know what i mean. humans need to fear some power godly power or military power, humans are hard to controll so can you tell me how you going to control humans without the fear of (god)? remember there are uncivilized nations on this earth so if you deprive them from the fear of god they going to turn to animals-like creatures, so can you fix that????

  • @mouayad888 your ideas here are completely wrong. morality came before religion or man would not have survived. no one ever killed in the name of atheism but people have and do kill in the name of religion.

  • @lhurien im not defending religions i actualy despite religions, but i dont want to think for myself only ,we have to think for others, thats our problem when we want to say something we just think about our situation we dont think about other people situation, example , if im a good person i would think all people are good people, it just does not work that way, look how many people dislike atheisim, are not they people just like us? thats why we need religion in our lives its just important

  • I deeply admire your courage to renounce superstition and adopt reason. The example you have provided to your community is of utmost importance. I hope you'll continue your pursuit of knowledge.

  • You are an inspiration

  • Best line: "I imagine after the first trillion centuries I would be very bored"..... Thats exactly how I feel about the idea of heaven. You would go INSANE if you were alive for a billion years. What exactly do these religious people plan on doing for that long? I would imagine you would be in heaven for so long that you would want to kill yourself, but you wouldn't be able to kill yourself, and thus, end up in your own hell.

  • thank you sir....great video

  • such wisdom, Mr Tarte ! :)))

  • It's strange to see someone so grounded and at peace with the world on youtube. Thank you for the video.

  • what keeps me alive is the fact that every day i am alive, and and an Atheist, is an insult to religion. Iv seen multiple people flip out when i say that im an Atheist, and i just love it. i love to debate... not argue... debate.... and also chess is my favorite game.

  • honor our atheist elders and thumbs this vid up

  • Thanks for sharing Edward. Life is beautiful.

  • Fantastic video. Thoroughly enjoyable. I enjoyed your insightful views on life. Thank you for sharing them.

  • It's a fresh surprise to see a man of his age be an atheist. You know, rather than a rickety old fundie.

  • I bet a lot of clergy eventually become atheists. The more you study, the more the bullshit shines through.

  • I'm crying. You give me so much hope. Thankyou.

  • You speak words of wisdom. Great video. Keep up the awesome work. :)

  • Fantastic, positive video.

  • Great video!

  • Did you use to be a Priest, but now an Athiest? What made you change your mind? What did the Church have to say?

  • @rohangiga, in reply, I have sent you two videos from my playlist Religion: Catholic Church.

  • Wonderful video!

  • I envy you sir. You are a very wise person. ^^

You say it all of that like IT IS.

    I admire you.

  • You are like the older version of me, I want to live just like you once I retire! :') (No offence intended).

  • Thanks for a well grounded video. Here's to you.

    Peace.

  • That was amazing. I respect your view. Personally, I don't believe I've ever been dead. My essence came from a source which I believe is "Yah" (self-existent and eternal) and will return to that source. Still, I enjoyed this video and your interpretation of this life. Thank you for sharing so much.

  • You assume i have no hope because i dont beleive in your god, learn what you say before you open your mouth

  • heres things as an atheist i hope for

    the end of all religion

mankind venturing off into the ddepest parts of space and discovering things unimaginable

i hope there is more intelligent species in space

i hope one day we as a species can figure out that helping eachother benefits us all in some way shape or form

i hope to live long enought to see these and many many other things happen

  • @edwardtarte At age 76, you look great!

    Just saying :-)

  • Edward, this video is so refreshing, thanks for the awesome words. You truly do atheism justice, and your execution is both sublime and informative.

  • But.. but Mr.Tarte.. what do you do don't give to church's?

You're such an amazing individual. The character you possess makes the world always seem brighter and may even be enough to combat the negative feelings I get from men such as Newt Gingrich.

  • I wake up and see the sun, other people smiling and I see a world so complicated we still can't understand it. In the brief and insignificant amount of time that we have had life, we have strived to find out why we live, taking our knowledge of it in hand with enjoying every detail. In all of that time, not once have we come back from the dead, or shown there is more beyond it so why waste it waiting? Make the most of now and forget the poisonous, dangerous prison of religion. Respect Mr Tarte.

  • @weedlefruit, thank you so much for your eloquent comment.

  • @edwardtarte That's fantastic Edward, religion is delusion in worst possible way, i have been told I will in fact burn in hell and suffer terribly beyond imagination for eternity, and that I deserve it, because that is what the bible says. I think this type of thinking is corrupt and absolutely discussing for my fellow man to believe that.

  • @edwardtarte These Christians certainly are not friends of mine nor to care to associate with them. Religious divides humanity, prime example Muslim radicals in the far east and western culture Christianity. I have seen so much towards each other from these two groups it is totally mind-boggling and a pathetic way o life.

  • I'm an agnostic who's leaning towards atheism, and to me the things religious people claim to find from God are not necessarily strange.

This is a message that agnostics and atheist could convey better.

Like many of you I have felt love, transcendence, wonder, deep peace and all those "spiritual things" without a religion from an early age. I hope that the people of belief could find that the wonder and peace they seek from God can also be found outside of their petty religious groups.

  • What keeps me alive is imagining how stupid all the smug theists feel at the moment of their deaths when they finally realise god doesn't exist.

  • @GillianBourne, I disagree. I do not expect any 'moment of truth' at the time of death, either immediately before, at that instant, or immediately after. As far as I see any credible evidence, we just die, without suddenly realizing anything about any god's existence or non-existence.

  • @edwardtarte I'm hoping to have a nice little lightshow as the electrical impulses in my brain start to misfire after I take my last breath...However, I have no certainty about it happening...

  • @edwardtarte That's right. Actually for a brief moment they may actually think they were correct since they might have a NDE.

  • @edwardtarte That is why I said "imagining".

But it seems you weren't the only one who didn't read my comment.

  • @GillianBourne Calling us smug, but then saying that dead people will realize something...lol.

  • @GillianBourne I feel so baffled by comments like this, if there isn't any consciousnesses after death there isn't any realization that god didn't exist. I'm happy for those who find comfort in the time of death from thoughts of heaven even when I don't share those beliefs myself.

  • @GillianBourne Unfortunately they wont realize it because they will be dead. So I guess you can say they will never realize it if they don't figure it out while they are alive.

  • @GillianBourne Funny thing here. If they pass away they pass away with the believe that they will see something afterwards. You can never crush a strong faith not even with death.

  • @GillianBourne We have nothing to lose if we're wrong :)

  • @GillianBourne They don't realize at all there basically dead and unaware of it... as evidence suggests.

  • @ecos889 I also believe this, but the question was "what keeps you alive?" and my answer was "imagining how...". In our imaginations anything is possible.

  • @GillianBourne If God does not exist then we as theists as well as you atheists would cease to exist (or reincarnate, or become a part of a bigger spiritual body like reaching nirvana, or something that nobody knows).

However, If God does exist, you atheists would have everything to lose.

  • @AssassinGhost Your premise suggests that you can support a claim that god exists. Please offer the support without which your claim cannot be taken seriously.

  • @edwardtarte ..... The fact that your helping people and making a difference in their lives is a plus. Great video! Keep up the good work.

  • You must be a very strong man spiritualy, as you were able to leave the church that must have meant alot to you as you were a priest. I take my hat of for you sir as you clearly are a man of inner peace that have found himself. My grandmother tried to make me believe in christianety ( My parents are atheist and no she didnt force me) but i kind of lost it when i realised i would have to worship a massmurderer.

  • Awesome another one who has broken the chain on will power and thinks for themself. People like Ed here brings hope for me in living in this crazy world now ill see the change in good people :D

  • Very well said. I was raised in a Roman Catholic family, even attended the Seminary for a while, then I realized none of it made any sense...that's what happens when you don't question authority. I don't think I ever truly believed in god, thankfully I woke up.

  • One of the greatest videos on YouTube. Thanks man :)

    ...

  • What keeps christans alive they are the ones who think that they are going to heaven they should want to die.

  • This video is amazing and inspiring. Thank you, Edward!

  • "After the first Trillion centuries, my guess would be that I would be very bored" Hm. I don't agree with this in the sense that it doesn't seem like a good argument against immortality.I'd rather die on my own terms. I'd rather have the decision of calling it quits after I've seen enough, then have life be taken away from me thanks to my shitty, fragile body.

Then again he might not be arguing against indefinite lifespans, but rather forced immortality.Of course, I'd say that's just as bad.

  • Mr. Tarte, you echo my thoughts and sentiments perfectly. I hope to have many great experiences and give much to this world before I am to leave it. You have inspired me today; Thank you for this video.

  • Wonderful video! Thank you!

  • Well said Edward, may you have many years of health and keep on teaching,we need more kind people like yourself

  • Brilliant.Thank you for what you said.

  • Yes mark twain is a great mind

  • wtf is a christian doing? what is keeping them alive? why would you want to live..just die to get to heaven..thats all life is for christians mostly..just a fucking waiting room till heaven

  • They say that people and everything else in the universe is made of stardust. Everything is connected and is a great cycle of creation and destruction :)

  • Thank you my good Sir for this honest and frank video. Men like you are more of an inspiration than any pope, evangelist or preacher could ever hope to be. You lead a positive and purpose filled life without the need for imaginary sky daddies.

  • Real meaning and purpose in life can only come from within.

  • You play, you teach, you you you... but if you are dead the worlds stopes to exist so your moral now is for nothing.

  • life HAS no meaning! u can choose if u dont want to live or to live.

u just have to find something interesting to do while u r alive.

also, i think that when u die u dont just disappear, my moms friend is a medium and through her my mom has spoken to her long gone grandma. she told my mom to look for a pink box in the attic and sort the stuff that were kept inside.

she found the box and inside were full of pics of my mom and her grandma that she had forgotten about.

    a life after death?fuck ye

  • I'm a huge fan after watching this video:)Beautiful way of thinking, very close to mine.Subscribing and looking forward to see more from you.Take care Mr.Awesome.

  • Brave guy. I only hope my balls increase in size and fortitude to this extent as I advance in years.

  • what keeps me alive as an atheist?? SIMPLE....my naturl instincts to survive and reproduce... family, freinds, pleausres, basketball, tv, cigaretes, traveling , enjoying life. sex, ETC.. simple as that... hahahha you dont have to beleive in god to enjoy life

  • Christians approach me saying that I won't go to heaven. I'm all right with that. Valhalla sounds cooler anyway, am I right?

  • Really. You look like you're 65, and you're still talking about atheism.

  • Good vid Ed. Merry Xmas.

  • i've seen christian's and catholic's turn atheist but someone like you that was in the center of it all that crawled out with a bunch of hands trying to hold you in.you get my respect and i will hold a nice cold glass of beer to you but i only have pepsi.either way it's all good.you have a great holiday.

  • @mysanuty, Pepsi is good too:) Thank you for your comments. I hope you will continue to enjoy my videos. Sincerely, Edward Tarte

  • @edwardtarte I did once get a rare moment of honesty from my Baptist youth pastor. When explaining to him why I didn't believe in anything anymore he told me "I can't help you because I don't have any real evidence that could convince you that the Bible is true." something to that effect. I replied, "If there's isn't any convincing evidence why do you believe it?" He just said, "It's to late to turn back now, people expect it of me." How true that is. I bet you felt the same way at first.

  • @Pillowpants8495, thank you so much for your comment. Actually, I never felt that way. During my 5 years as a priest, as it started to dawn on me that my faith was giving way to reason, I gradually took the attitude that I was going to have to leave the priesthood. Fortunately I had a college degree in math, liked the idea of teaching math, so was able to become a math teacher and thus earn a living doing something that I was competent to do.

  • @edwardtarte Pepsi is not good, if there was a Satan he would drink Pepsi.

  • i'm just a nonbeliever that grew up without that around me but santa and tooth fairys as a child.that god and jesus belief thing wasn't in the pitcher.my father didn't push us to go to church for what he went through as a child but my family still believe in it but not like the others who clings to it for dear life 24/7.seeing is believing to me without question.they have nothing to show but words.i live my life just fine without it and i'm living proof of it.

  • i'd just like to say, that mature aged people like yourself help break down these stereotypes of old people being ignorant and stuck in their ways. Great explanation

  • the fool says in his heart there is NO GOD! how sad!

  • @eyebanny Don't feel sad for him, be sad for yourself. You believe all that religious nonsense. Non believers appreciate life more. I know this is it, I'm not going to fantasy land when I die. I'm not piling any of my sins on a scapegoat. You're the fool, not Mr. Tarte.

  • @lhurien great comeback mate, no sarcasm for the record

  • Mr. Tarte, you are living a good life! You are an inspiration! Thank you for uploading this video!

  • Thank you for uploading this video, I also would find immortality to be boring, and I would also think that it would get lonely also, easpecially if someone I cared deeply about were to go to "Hell" if that place also existed. I'm an existentialist and find meaning in the world around me, and find purpose to be in the way I live my life, not in the belief that a supreme diety created the world and everything in it. Thank you for posting this :)

  • People like you give me hope for humanity, seriously.

You are a good man and I have huge amounts of respect for what you say.

  • Thank you so much. You give people a good name.

  • Edward, to your wish: "I hope to leave the world a little better place"

For some people it's enough just to make another person happy, and you've made plenty, including me, very happy :)

Don't know if you changed my world, being an atheist before seeing your vids, but I assure you: You made the difference for better. Thank you.

  • Mr. Tarte. You are awesome. Death is horrible and sad, but when you do leave, please know that you will still be a part of my memories. You are like the grandfather I never had, and a person I very much aspire to become like.
