they are not. keep in mind that you are watching the rounds strike from behind and slightly to the left, so it appears to be moving slowly but it's going about 300 yards in the short time that you see the vapor trail.
Do you modified the rifle and used a scope, because that seemed very accurate shooting for an ak47, it would be great if you ccould give me further information to your rifle.
I can't really understand the point of a scope mount on an AK, considering that the AK is designed primarily for reliability and ease of use rather than accuracy.
I did not break in the rifle, there's not really a point with an AK. You only break in barrels on target guns and such. The barrel is not chrome lined.
Stupid ass video

that shiny metal thing flying at 0:28 is that the bullet?

yes. it is the bullet.

Not the bullet, it's the vapor trail following the bullet as it cuts through the thick Texas humidity

I have a question.

By the way, good shooting.

I doubt he was using a very high powered scope, the grouping is way off. He could be just guessing the drop with a 4x or 6x scope.

I was just using iron sights and cheap russian ammo. AK's are more accurate within 300 yards or so than they are given credit for
hunterla5 3 years ago
all you have to do is adjust your rear sight to the meters your shooting at, ak's aren't meant to have scopes.

My WASR came with a Side Rail for mount / Scope.
Xare420 2 years ago
which will only do you good for a few hundred yard, you don't need a scope for that. If you want to mount somehting put a reflec sight.
alexman18 2 years ago
Ya i was thinking a Red Dot of some type, no magnification. Just using it for fast target acquisition.

At 100m with my GP WASR-10/63, I get sub 1inch groupings with a 4 power mil-dot scope.

How did you break in your rifle? Was the barrel chrome lined? How many rounds to break in or did you just start shooting like that???
