I used to deliver diesel to drilling rigs in an eighteen wheeler. Once I was in the middle of nowhere looking for a rig, but couldn't find it by the directions I had. I NEED YOUR HELP. My dad is slowly dying. He has many allergies, severe asthma, and is living off of not 2, not 1, not 1/2 but 1/4 of a lung. A week ago he came out the hospital I would say a mentally damaged. This morning he had a cardiac arrest and right now is living off life support. A tube through his throat to the stomach...Prayers are needed please, I just turned 17 and need him. God is great & does unexplainable things. I pray but let God do what He wants! I just need strength.

Christians, I'm here to let you know that the story of Jesus is extremely similar to that of hundreds of other religious figures in the centuries leading up to his birth (virgin birth, resurrection, birth near the solstice). Also, the bible contradicts itself numerous times on the subject. Let's not forget that Jesus supposedly died to rid us of original sin, which requires the existence of Adam and Eve, which is impossible due to the overwhelming evidence for evolution. I used to deliver diesel to drilling rigs in an eighteen wheeler. Once I was in the middle of nowhere looking for a rig, but couldn't find it by the directions I had. I eventually did find the right road which went up a steep hill and the sun was setting behind it. The sunset was so beautiful and brilliant as if God had painted the sky. Just then this song came on the radio and it hit me hard. All my frustrations were gone and the tears just flowed. It wasn't about me. It's all about Jesus.

The KJV is an equally bad translation that's hundreds of years old and doesn't benefit from any recent scripture discoveries like the dead sea scrolls or modern scholarly research. But at the end of the day, they're all the inspired word of G-d and contain everything necessary for salvation. Find one that works well for you (I dig the NAB version), and immerse yourself in it.
