i dont think its a sign that we are getting more civilised, banning hunting. i think its a sign that we are taking one more step away from nature, much of nature to most people seems to be something to be looked at from afar, but to some of us its something to be worked, looked after, and used to provide us with food.

I haven't actually seen a fox take 3 seconds to die, but then again, it's because in our kennel, they don't last that long. A coyote on the other hand will put up a little more of a fight, but they are usually still gone before they know what's happening. Much better than the way they treat a calf or a foal they may get a hold of. They usually get their entrails eaten while they are still alive and kicking.
I am open minded with these things but need to ask if the fox is killed by a snap to the neck as is clearly shown on another vid, what is the difference between this and eating a steak, its just the time gap between death and dissasemblment! think their are worse issues with animal welfare.

almost everytime I get a fish the small hook´s only slightly stuck in it´s jaws, from where it takes only few seconds to remove and then put the fish among the rest on a bucket filled with water. The fish ain´t torn apart immediately and when killed, it only takes few strong hits on the head. So I see it very funny u bringing up fishing on this subject :D

yeah it is because they take lambs and chickens, the same as pigeons ,rabbits, moles, rats ,squirrils , and mink are all classed as vermin because they all do damage in one way or another,

u don´t see the point in what TYPE of fishing? I only fish if i visit my family´s cabin with someone, and we always then eat those fishies, so there is a point. I don´t see no point in those type of huntings where it´s done for FUN, when people say what a major feeling it is when u shoot down a deer, mountain lion..etc.

trophie hunt? the word ´trophie´ doesnt sound good.. how often do u trophie hunt? few times a year? But the part where u mention u like challenging smart (though every huntedanimal is smart) prey by stalking gives the image u want to prey on them by stalking the way they´d be stalked by another prey in wild. Sounds more like an equal battlefield :)

i hardly ever trophie hunt....i have 1 set of antlers from a fallow deer... i mainly hunt vermin, as control of population..unless u live on a 6000 acre estate..is actually hard to belive the amount of damage that...say not shooting squirrels can do..honest... and with the stalking i think that if a deer will run wen it sees u at 300 yards..and u can get within 50yards of it by stalking...i think thats an atchiement in itsself..

yeah I can imagine that deer-example u mentioned. In wild if a predator that hunts more by stalking that running, losing it´s prey in such event almost means it has to wait for next great opportunity till the next day or at least many many hours--> challenging, yes

Infact, I have no problem with hunting and yes I do eat meat. What I object to is the manner in which some people conduct a hunt and the prolonged death of the animal they are hunting.
