  • Its crazy because I saw him in concert right before he died in Portland. This video reminds me of that.

  • what can you say, just listen to john there is no one else like him,,,,just sheer fab.

  • tears flowing

  • John Denver was in his very best voice for this 1995 concert. I like the increased tempo of this version too.

Only wish Olivia Newton John could have been doing back up vocals.

  • yeah, chokes me up to.

  • Beautiful! Chokes me up!

  • Great song, not the same without Olivia

  • @workinprogress82 youre welcome :)

  • Too good to be true...this warms my soul. Thanks for posting.

  • my mom died two years ago. this is one of her favorite singer. i miss her badly.

  • Sorry to be the crushing blow but JD was a capitalist more than the environmentalist. Funny how we draw these innocent illusions of beauty and nature, all the while JD was being cited for his fuel reserves (which were very UN-environmental).

  • @Greasydawg

One negative makes him a capitalist...then I guess we are all capitalists in your eyes. I bet you drive a big SUV...

  • @Greasydawg You do realize that capitalism isn't the enemy, right?

  • Could anyone imagine going camping -w- John & he takes his guitar out & plays, sings, anyone who was fortunate enough to have done that -w- him must have some awesome memory's,I miss him....

  • Much better without Olivia!

  • So peaceful

  • not the same without the angel voice of Olivia Newton john.

  • @OfficialRobbieMason yea thank you.

  • I miss Olivia in the background. Olivia's voice is so much better and made this song something special. Her voice was so angel and John and Olivia should've done more together.

  • Without the glasses John Denver is missing something the wire framed glasses were his biggest trademark.

  • Little Johnny Dussledorf.

I used to play with him on base and never imagined what he was hiding behind his nerdie reserved self.

I was one of his BIGGEST fans for years before I realized who he was.

Odd how life plays out. He was always was a DEEP Quiet kid.

HIS LYRICS ARE AWSOME. I CANT PICK A FAVORITE BECAUSE I LOVE THEM ALL.

  • To fly is to be in your spirit, this a better flight than a eagle can reach. This is to fly away from your litle self.

  • Fly Away...Fly Away....Fly Away, John is sadly missed but he died doing something that he loved to do. Thank you for posting this, it's so beautiful.

  • ill try and get on to it.

  • John is in a better place, I really believe that. Your music and the love in its message lives on in all of us.

  • it does live on,thank you.

  • no one is perfect though, thanks.

  • he was the first artist who inspired other artists to think of the world, nature, people living around the world with hunger. who cares if he was drunk-driving, or used his plane so that he can get little closer to the nature or had two wives. He might have done 1-2 bad things where as he has given 1000s to the world. what matters is that his music full of soul which reaches out to others and connect them without a doubt.

  • thanks.

  • I understand where you're getting your impression of today's "young ones" from, but that doesn't hold true for all of us. I personally love John Denver, Joan Baez, Gordon Lightfoot.... they are the real musicians.

  • @rfgolds i so agree, im only 11 and i love John Denver and Elvis. Most all of today's music will NEVER live up to the pure beauty that is JD

  • @duckscanada

I agree, I'm 31 and I listen to John Denver, James Taylor and other folk/ country artists.... mostly because I'm an acoustic guitarist. That's what drives me to these songs.
