@dtrain771 Yeah, I dont get it... All the meh "drugs" like alcohol, caffeine and nicotine are legal and all the awesome shit is illegal. (At least where I live and in most parts of the world) ;)
@StinkiwinkiPoo Yes, live they were able to do that. Those original albums were recorded in mono, however, and it's in mono that they really do excel.
Pink Floyd is a so diversified band.. Listen Relics then Dark Side then The Wall then Division Bell... That's 4 differents things.. Personnaly, I prefer the Waters era more than the Barett x Gilmour era although this piece is wonderful.
Why can't people just accept that the Barrett era and the Gilmour era were both incredible? They were different, that's for sure, but I don't think one was outright better than the other.
@MunroeAGoGo That's a very good point. I love The Narrow Way. It's an amazing track. Favorite Floyd is Arnold Layne to Echoes. Think Waters took over, eventually causing a lot of band politics? Shame as he was brilliant, period. Cha cha ca cumba Ah- woo - oo! : )
*bullshit is the idea that Pink Floyd became better after Syd left. Pink Floyd is Syd Barrett, he is the genious and that's all even if David Gilmour is great as well
0:04 Oh shit, I took was acid! 0:30 What's happening to the wall? 0:40 Oh my god everything is moving! 1:35 Everything is talking to me! 2:00 I'm inside my deep sub-conscious. 2:30 There is no time and space it's only me. 3:00 I am time and space and I am being. 3:30 I'm in charge of this world! @TheButcherClan Wish I was still 25. Loved these things when I was young and naive enough to believe in my spiritual capabilities to do trips. I'm too wise now to go street wandering under the influence, and Glasgow got more violent since '93. Besides, you can't get to sleep on the come down lol. Truly miss my days of Floyd, Happy Mondays and Stone Roses.
This is one of the songs I typically hit, when I'm tuning any of my guitars without using any sort of tuner. The intro is just right to get a good idea of how close or far away my E string tunings are. After that, tuning the A-D-G-B string is easy.
First time I heard this while under the influence of LSD was a complete mindfuck, I felt as though the purpose of the song was to portrait schizophrenia... it was so obvious still I'd never thought of it that way that way before. Syd's music was truly mind expanding, psychedelic music at it's best.

the reason why today's popculture isn't interesting anymore is the fact that everything has been done in the way off music
in the early day's 50's 60's and 70's everything whas new the electric guitar whas new so people got experimenting with it i call a pink floyd or a black sabbath as example
now days its hard to be different and the key to suc6 is to be different
There has always been shitty music and there has always been good music. In the 60's, and today. You're kidding yourself if you think you have never herd a single talented modern band. People love to pretend that they're the only ones who appreciate great music and they love to imagine that their tastes are derived from the "glory days" of whatever they're thinking about.
This is so Psychedelic, so Bizzare, so Syd barret, Pink Floyd are masters, but their eraly days with Syd Barret were their best years. Pure, hard and dark Psychedelic Rock Music!!!
Oh God I love this song, and the reason why this album isn't as popular is because it isn't pop 60's, it Prog Rock, which didn't reach its golden age until the 1970's. @ChadLikesGuitars im 12 and im a bit of a music snob. i worship the beatles and many more bands from 60's and 70's youwill not believe how much i love that sort of music.
To all citing LG and JB,honestly you are mistaken.Yt how could you know what real musical artists are? They have been few and far between.Real artists know that because you play an instrument or sing, doesn't mean your joint is automatically tight. Modern pop "artists" are glorified mediocre entertainers,at best. Duke Ellington, one of the greatest composers of the 20th century said that there are two types of music:good and bad. I thoroughly agree. This vid is a gem from Floyd's psychedelic era.
@pashedmotatos Wow.Love knowing stuff like that.Yeah,Love's songs weren't easy to play and LRB is one of the easiest.Like Moby Grape They had some serious musicianship in that band.
Someone went crazy on the mixing board! I've always thought of Pink Floyd's early years as being bubble gum pop, it's nice to see that isn't the case. This song foretells the direction Floyd would take in the years to come.
music in this day and age has come a long way. I find that all music is good in some way. I have no preference to what i listen to whether its 1920's blues or lady gaga. music has its own evolution like mankind and will eventually go back to its simplest form. This song is very complex and music has been getting like that but in the end it all boils down to rhythm, melody and beat. I agree that creativity is not as common as it was back when this was made but music changes with the times.
It seems like everyone hates Bieber or Lady Gaga, but loves Katy Perry and Kesha. I dont understand why no one ever mentions Katy Perry, California gurlz not only disrespects the beach boys but its 10X worse than any song Justin Bieber ever made.
I watched this completly exploded on DXM. I felt like my body was following the movements of the camera and I felt like I was flying over the planet during the last scene. Shit happens.

music in this day and age has come a long way.

Wow the top rated comments are incredibly logical, but I was pretty sure I was on a Pink Floyd video.

I watched this completly exploded on DXM. I felt like my body was following the movements of the camera and I felt like I was flying over the planet during the last scene. Shit happens.
