I'm in the same boat... in reverse. I'm a almost forty year old nerdy guy, and women don't like me because I 1. don't drink or smoke. 2. am a nerd 3. Don't believe in sex before marriage. Last year, I got really, really hurt by a girl I loved dearly. I've since decided that I don't need love. I've dealt with the lonelyness this long, I can deal with it forever. I don't have to have a girl to be happy. I just work on my comic books, work at my job, hang with my buds.
but i did find a guy :) and im very happy with him. he's a nerd too but i love him to death and he treats me like a princess :p ^_^ your special someone is out there too. you just have to be patient. btw i think its true that nerd love really is the best :)
i mean really. how many relationships with nerds have you heard of that didnt work out or were unfaithful? idk about you but i havent heard of rarely any ;) theres plenty of great guys out there. i found mine :D dont give up!!!!!
aw i so know what you mean! D: i feel my self esteem go straight in the toilet too when im out with friends or something and see another girl i think is just so much prettier than me walk by. i feel like just hitting myself in the face repeatedly x.x but anymania is right. we are all beautiful in different ways :D im a nerdy girl for sure x.x and i eventually gave up on guys because i was always turned down or picked on in school.
use some liquid foundation under your eyes, some powder, a very very light pink blush (almost nude,) some dusty rose and light gold on your eyes, mascara, and a haircut and i will promise you, you will look HOT.
The problem comes when you start thinking that "getting the guy" ends the story. Live for self-education, live for self-betterment, live for helping your fellow human. And I bet you get the guy along the way, and he'll get a much better "girl" in the bargain! :)
I feel that way all of the time! My mother constantly says "you don't have a man because you never look up." Well, thanks mom for standing up for me. I don't ever remember some hot stud knocking down my door. I am not going to play games with myself. My height does have something to do with my lack of romantic life. However, we will prevail. I am smoking and so aren't you! Forget those jocks in highschool who ignored us.
It's a matter of taste. I believe finding a cute, nerdy and funny girl is a harder challenge (because such girls usually hide), but I also think that is much more worth the search. Believe me there is someone looking for you, just get out there
after a painful and embarrassing relationship in my early twenties, i had a moment of clarity. "there is NO guarantee that i would find the ONE."
it was liberating actually. once i knew i wasn't on a "mission", i bought myself flowers and cooked fancy dinners for one at home. it was a great summer and then...the star wars girl got the star wars guy.
grandma was right, love finds you when you stop looking for it.
I found your videos quite a few months ago somehow and then rediscovered you today.... and hmm answer to your question... is there one? I believe there is someone out there and sometimes it just takes them to get to know you and your ways.... but hey i'm only 20 and don't know much about these things :) ... You are brill, and i reeeeeally mean that.
Oh, by the way. You DO know that those girls get the guy over and over and over again. In between are loads of messy break ups. The better looking they are the messier the break up it always seems.
That feeling never goes away, but you care less about it and the older you get! And yes, the guys eventually realise it's the lovable dork they REALLY wanted after all. :)
Yes, I have felt that way many times. I was that girl at sleepovers WISHING the hot guy would pick me to play the kissing games with. But NO.. It was always the chesty and pretty girls who got the hunks. UGh! Can we all puke together now?
Yes Miss Carrie, she does! And if you *hold out* long enough you'll get a good looking nerd who's just as crazy about everything you are as he is about his computers and his smarts. I can soooo relate. I was that girl in school who didn't quite fit in one place. I felt like a square peg trying to squeeze into a round whole. Oddly enough, after school that round hole became my comfort zone. I think being a bombshell is probably not all it's cracked up to be.
I second that feeling, but really the nerdy girls (myself included) get the nerdy guys, and what's hotter than a guy who knows his way around a computer, or studies calculus or is obsessed with chemistry (maybe thats just my feeling)!
From another man's point of view; It's what's inside that counts. I'd say ninety percent of it has to do with your confidence. You can fake it if you have to.
Then its a matter of deciding you want really want the guy and following through by communicating with him. You have to really want it and not fear any rejection. Are you ready?
From a man's point of view; Yes the nerdy girls do win in the end. LoL, You shouldn't feel that way, You are very cute (Not flirting, just telling You), and You have a great personality! That combination is better than a denim dress, and skinny legs. You have alot more to offer. 5stars, as always!!
wow your 29 omg you look your like 19!

dont worry.
just find a decent, intelligent guy.

I can't even write a good comment on that.
So here is the bad one:
It is catch 22. As long as it is influencing you like that the answer is... * shakes the magic 8-ball*
-Ask again later.
If it isn't on your mind, you don't even bother shaking.
So.. there is my comment, not 'the answer'. It is a zen thingy almost isn't it?

I sure feel that way sometimes...and I am 30!
But I aiso think there is someone for eveyone (sappy alert!!!)
So I just go for more walks...because staying inside will not help in meeting new people.
And yes this time of year does not help at all.
