It's apart of the boot process, from you're message, you said it's going directly to windows? Then backtrack 3 isn't booting properly. Also, I **think it has to be backtrack 3 beta in order to have the hand print picture.

When you install aircrack-ng, you get all the commands you need (airmon-ng start, airodump, aireplay, aircrack) and ifconfig and iwconfig come with mac already.

Yeah dude, you can check by running:

ifconfig (interface) down

airmon-ng start (interface)

aireplay-ng -9 (interface)

And that is the aircack-ng injection test :)
