Go space harrier!! Welcome to the greatest 90`s theme! I hate fucking justin biebers lovers! Who go all over the 90`s videogame music and music from the 90`s and puts the fucking dislike thumbs! They should put only Like button to not see those fucking dislike motherfuckers!
Synth-wise, Takenobu's using an Ensoniq SQ1, Roland JD-800 and Fender Rhodes, Harrier's using 2 Yamaha DX7s. Good to see a DX7 being used into the 90s. The games used FM sound chips, so what better way to recreate the sound than with an FM synth like the DX7?
@SergioGeorginiJacket cheers! was wanting to know which synths they use live except dx7's. can't find the right sounds within FM8 softsynth presets :(
@timothysan Just to add to that, I know they also used a Roland U-220 rompler at some point, the Rhodes (a Mk V Stage 73) could be MIDI'd to that. Also the computer on the right of the stage playing out the sequenced parts is a Mac SE.
They need to port Planet Harriers to console already ffs. This was literally the first game I ever owned on SMS and I've been waiting almost a decade for Planet Harriers to get a home version >:|
Plus an own Band, Mastermind Yu Suzuki, and a hell lotta great games for all other systems, wow thats really impressive, I love Sega and ever will, come on guys how about DC2, DCP (Dreamcast Portable *giggle*) or something new in hardware that just blows us away?? Pleeeaaaaase!!!
You forgot... G80 (1981), System 1 (1983-1987), System 2 (1985-1988), System E, System 16 (1985), X Board (1987),Y Board (1988), System 18 (1989), System 24 (1988-1996), Mega-Tech (1989), Mega-Play, System C2 (19891994), System 32 (19901994), Model 1 (19921994), Model 2 (19931994), ST-V (19942000), Model 2A-CRX (19941998), Model 2B-CRX (19941998), WhiteStar (1995-2004),
WOW! I had see this videogame in arcade but now I realized the music rules! This is one of the best arrange of any videogame BGM I ever heard! Damn the Sega sweet old good times really rules! Now I wish to hear a SST concert where the play some BGM from "The house of the dead"!
Gracias... Pense que era el unico que disfrutaba esta musica de video juegos en la fecha, y eso que fue publicado el 2007 esperaba algo asi desde mucho tiempo..
Great version, good to see a group being honest about the origin of their work, earlier today I heard a "new" tune that was taken from Xenon (amiga version) and I also think that Jay Z/Linken Parks main riff in Numb was from the C64 version of Target Renegade.
Also a lot of rave stuff seems to be from old amiga demo disks
OK - so assume I just found out about SST about five minutes ago. They were doing game music concerts back in 1991? Anyone know where I can get this DVD!?
When you aw the Sega logo flash by, you knew you were getting something special.. i miss those days

Ahhh.. the early 90's..
..when the idea of radiation devastating Japan was as foreign as the notion of Sega going under.

I always wanted the REAL BANDS behind the japanese games like S.S.T. Band to tour the States. This alone sure beats Video Games LIVE.
