  • god! very old memories comming back from thoses old school games that were really hard and had fantastic tunes <3

  • I might be busking on saturday, I need to learn this by then!

  • always a memorable tune , a lot of those video game music artists were fucking genius

  • You know what, screw the only 2 people in the world that hate this song, nufe said.

  • Im going upstairs right now to play space harrier on my commodore 64

  • any one else start crying when they heard this its so beautiful man

fuck justin bieber this is what they should be playing on the radio

  • @nibelung34343 please dont even bring that name here.... i mean hes everywhere... let us alone. this is our safe spot

  • These guys were masters.

Synth-wise, Takenobu's using an Ensoniq SQ1, Roland JD-800 and Fender Rhodes, Harrier's using 2 Yamaha DX7s. Good to see a DX7 being used into the 90s. The games used FM sound chips, so what better way to recreate the sound than with an FM synth like the DX7?

  • @SergioGeorginiJacket cheers! was wanting to know which synths they use live except dx7's. can't find the right sounds within FM8 softsynth presets :(

  • @timothysan Just to add to that, I know they also used a Roland U-220 rompler at some point, the Rhodes (a Mk V Stage 73) could be MIDI'd to that. Also the computer on the right of the stage playing out the sequenced parts is a Mac SE.

  • this is the ultimate nerd convention but i wouldve loved to have been there

  • @JokinJoe agreed

  • I always wanted the REAL BANDS behind the japanese games like S.S.T. Band to tour the States. This alone sure beats Video Games LIVE.

  • and now bayonetta (2010)

  • This is the kind of stuff I wanted to hear at that Video Games Live concert at the Hollywodd bowl, not a bunch of Orchestral bullcrap.

  • who's played bayonetta ??that space harrier lvl was fukin awesome..that game was a true tribute to sega fans..absolutely fab!!

  • One of the greatest things I ever saw.

  • my favorite game when I was a kid, wonderful!!! five stars

  • I'm digging the 80's vibe I'm getting from this song. :D

  • They need to port Planet Harriers to console already ffs. This was literally the first game I ever owned on SMS and I've been waiting almost a decade for Planet Harriers to get a home version >:|

  • They sould do the first board over and but it on XBL to see how popular it is.

    MOOT full 3d

  • If they did space harrier over in 3D graphics with the same layout. and include this music. It would be insane

  • Sega Arcades for PS2

  • This cover isn't as good as the original, but thanks anyway.

  • dam best video on youtube!!!!

  • Wow, it was a good to remake.

  • Great version, good to see a group being honest about the origin of their work, earlier today I heard a "new" tune that was taken from Xenon (amiga version) and I also think that Jay Z/Linken Parks main riff in Numb was from the C64 version of Target Renegade.

Also a lot of rave stuff seems to be from old amiga demo disks
