i have made the easier, single peruvian wave. I cannot get the main string to 'wave' like that, it stays straight.

I don't have any embroidery string for the (base?) so I was wondering, if i just use the same string for it..would it really matter? I guess i'd have to test and see ..

@Chickalocks It will be thinner is all. You'd probably want to use about 5-6 strands to make a bit of bulk otherwise your center wrapped strings will not be as pronounced/defined in the end.

@TheStackingchamp I clamp it down in my clipboard.

I actually found a better way of starting them. the main strings you can just fold in half to make a loop... then just start the bracelet. The loop will be at the top and at the end, because of the fold, you will have two tails to tie through the loop. I'll probably re-post how to start/finish them because my original video was pretty silly. I never made them before and had no real idea what was done until I saw them in a gift shop locally.

or you can get a piece of cardboard and get one of those huge clips to clip the string to the top:)

@blueberry6848 It's not very good string, I just used it because I had so much of it and it was visible on camera. Just use string that is thick (or) use a few strands of embroidery floss to make bulk.

@simplyRydzik Unfortunately it was just a new piece for extending the tripod... my actual tripod is too weak to support it so now I need a new tripod as well. My tripod has a quick release clasp and plate for easy removal and it's leaning way to much... I tried bungee cords to help support but it's just not happening... so I'm getting a bit frustrated trying to get this to work out but I'm hoping that it's nearing the final stretch of "Okay, everything works now we can get on with the show."

@pixiefishmusic The thick strings I used for the middle strands are from Lowes. They are just light duty nylon string. They come in spools by the clothesline. The other string is just six stranded embroidery floss.

I have a video explaining the different floss I use called 'Your Common Questions Answered" which is under my 'Help Section' playlist and 'Beginner Basics' playlist.

@Juliacecilia1 You'll need about 4 to 6 embroidery floss strands to make up for the width... but you can use it. It's just that you need to bulk it up by using multiples so I just opted for yarn/cord/whatever is thicker.

@Braceletsmadeeasy They stay surprisingly well, actually. You can fluff them up and tug at them to 're-order' the strands but from what I see it stays where it should be. (I haven't worn it, though... so it MIGHT move, but from playing with them it seems pretty secure.)

@storyofmylife022 I forget if you were the one who asked for it/showed me an etsy picture with it... so I'm going to just say that the checkboards are alpha patterns. I might do one... but I really have such trouble doing alpha's with my camera setup. Since alpha's weave back and forth it is difficult to do with only 5 inches of space between the clip board and the camera.
