I've tried but i cant play half of machine head's songs and i have had many an hour to practice their stuff. they're just too good. in fact, thats how i judge the talent of the guitarists of every band. if i can learn and play it with my self taught, unable to read music self, they dont make the cut. because i am very mediocre so if i can play it, they pretty much suck.

@2shae1980 metal is directly judged on how technical it is. grunge isnt.... nobody listened to nirvana for the guitars, they wanted cobain's lullaby voice and his poetic lyrics. if no one ever judged a band by how hard it is to play...none of them would be hard to play. it's striving to play better and harder than the others in their genre that has pushed guitarists to get better and faster.

awesome live concerts, i saw them once and machine head twice they are both the best heavy bands playing live nowadays in my opinion, they didnt got the golden god award for best live band for nothing..... most of their old songs are pure heavy music in all aspects, one of the few bands that was able to do so, machine head has heavy music but they allways have accoustic solos and so on.... the new slipknot is know everywhere in the world and everyone listens to it thats why some ppl say it sucks
