Skyrim: Boethia's Calling Glitch AND How to Fix It

I've finished the quest and my screen is still like it? :s HELP!

@iDubHeadx well you can either use another save or if you don't want to start a new game turn into a werewolf. Believe me starting a new game is more fun than it sounds and I hate starting new games so yeah.

another way to get this to unglitch (i did this five minutes ago). collect the items for the the only cure quest then give them to kesh the clean and inhale the incense. your vision will change thus fixing the glitch, good thing i had the items on me at the time otherwise i'd been screwed til i fought a dragon on the map.

this glitch happened to me when i finished the quest. if anyone knows how to solve it please tell me ;(

@kwuait16 Try turning into a werewolf or using the Kajiht's ability to see at night and that should fix it.

@kwuait16 I found a fix! I heard that learning a new word of power would solve the blurry vision issue from the Boethia sacrifice. I found Shearpoint as a location where I could learn 3 words of power. I made my way there and just as I approached the back side of the word wall, a character named Krosis hit me with a fireball and that eliminated the blurry vision bug right away. Then I defeated Krosis, and a frost dragon, and learned the words of power at the location.

@rrcruzg thanks man bit i fixed it by reloading a previous save data and started the quest all over again and it worked the blurry vision didn't happen again :)

My problem is that when I speak with Boethia she says "yuk ... the flesh is to distasteful." "You have caught my attention, mortal ... which is most unwise." And that's as far as the quest goes. I just stand there looking at Boethia's conduit with blurred vision and the color blue or purple surrounding me. That's as far as it goes. I'm getting really tired of all the BS glitches in this game. For what we paid for it we should expect it to run smoothly. I have a bunch of unfinished quests.

@EuroHebrew If you are on PC then try typing in codes in the console to skip the current objective and continue with the quest. Open the control console and type "setstage DA02 15" it will skip the dialogue and give you the next step in the quest. then later when you have to speak to Boethia's Conduit again the same problem will occur, so type in "setstage DA02 20" and follow the quest to completion. you shouldn't have any more problems after that.

@shadic1010 How about a console player? Im on the PS3, and im having similar problems. Howenver my quest log havent passed the objective "Find the cult of Boethia"

They won't fix this bug because the company already has all your money. It really pisses me off cause I used the pillar of sacrafice before the quest started so now the pillar of sacrafice doesn't work anymore.

this happens when you open your journal while talking to boethia.

fixing it: load prev save, enter werewolf from(doesn't always work) or finish the quest(doesn't always work

anyways this is a really annoying bug and bethesda should fix it -.-

The way I fixed it was by either going into werewolf form or using the khajiit night eye ability

I too have a strange gltich. Each time you should actually talk to the boethiah conduit, her lines don't go further then 'agg wearing flesh is so distasteful - you have caught my attention mortal. that is most unwise' and after that she's pretty much deadsilent. how can i fix this?

@GuitarDude483 Well I can't help you there, but if you are having that problem try looking it up on google, that is how I figured out how to do it on a PC. If you can try re loading a previous save and try again.

I'm having the same problem but in my case it happened just when I finished her quest and now it won't go away...but for me it's not reddish, it's lke when you find a new word. So I'll go and try to find a new word to see if that solves the problem...

@alteatronic That might fix it, the only problem is that you will either have to fight a dragon or go through a dungeon. Just go to a dragon crater (the dragon head symbol on the map) and go fight a dragon and get the word there. You will have to look up all of the dragon crater locations though.

that happened to me too which is mad fucking annoying cause as soon as I travel to knifepoint a dragon appears. almost impossible to see it with all the red.

Had this one myself too, it's very annoying but just finish the quest and that reddish effect goes away
