okay my ears and lips were done with guns but they didnt rot outta my face, its just like gettting a tattoo, depeneds on how u take care of it and thats how it will turn out,and who the person doin it is, but i did get my bridge done with a needle and it was painless lol

Guns can't be sterilized thus you can't safely rule out the risk of catching a disease or bacterial infection, but you can when using a professional piercing setup using a blade or needle. Guns are less accurate - professional piercers do not use guns, and as such guns are being banned in more and more places.
i have 6 ear piercing. my first set i rebeled against my dad when i was 10 and did with a shard of glass; second set with a safety fin; 5th piercing with a thumbtack. got a friend to do my cartlidge with a sewing needle. never got any of them infected <3

@metalshredder161 with ears generally the lobes are fairly easy to do with a gun however for something that is going through cartilage it causes less trauma to the piercing site if you use a needle. Then there is the fact that when you get a piercing done with a needle you know it's clean because they are sterilized in a conclave and then individually vacuum sealed and then opened in front of you. Guns can not be sterilized in a conclave because the heat would melt the plastic.
i met a guy who's only 23 years old, he has 5 piercings on his tongue (about 32 piercings all over his body) and not one has been infected...so stop with all the bullshit! Take care of it and it wont fuckin get infected!

i did my helix MYSELF when i was 12. i disinfected it everyday for like 2 months.Im 14 now and i still have it and its not infected.I got my eyebrow done on September of this year at home by a friend(kinda stupid i know) and i still have it a little blood but no pus or infection. Not everyone gets infections from piercings and if they do its probably because they dont sanitize it. Its all good if u take care of it :P

touches something other than your jewelry mention that to them. Make sure they clean your piercing site and the tools that are being used. Even go in and ask to watch them pierce someone so you know they handle everything with care. You can always ask them how to take care of it, or look up stuff online before you go. Saline solution is always your best bet. Sometimes you can buy numbing cleaners at the piercing shop. Just be smart
Never get pierced by a piercing gun. They just love keeping in the bacteria. For instance the girls at claires only clean the area's that are going to touch your skin, but there are other nooks and cranny's that hold in skin, blood, and bacteria. Make sure when you go to a piercing shop to watch your piercer, if he has gloves on and

I have had atleast 11 piercings with none of them getting infected. And that is because I know how to take care of them. there is some cases no matter how much u take care of them the still get infected it depends on how ur body reacts to it. But in most cases its because ppl dont know how to take care of them and are idiots if they get a piercing and not plan on taking care of it. @reesk92 i have tired and i could not lossen it for 2 reasons 1 i treid to loosen them and could not and tired to hard ened up pulling em off and the scabbing tore off and was bleeding...2nd reason it was just to pain ful so i stick with needles and never ever had problems...sure they are more expensive but less pain etc...maybe its me and how may ears react to he gun idk like with anything it all depends on the indiviadual right?

touches something other than your jewelry mention that to them. Make sure they clean your piercing site and the tools that are being used. Even go in and ask to watch them pierce someone so you know they handle everything with care. You can always ask them how to take care of it, or look up stuff online before you go. Saline solution is always your best bet. Sometimes you can buy numbing cleaners at the piercing shop. Just be smart

Never get pierced by a piercing gun. They just love keeping in the bacteria. For instance the girls at claires only clean the area's that are going to touch your skin, but there are other nooks and cranny's that hold in skin, blood, and bacteria. Make sure when you go to a piercing shop to watch your piercer, if he has gloves on and

i'd rather get pierced with a sharp needle than a piercing gun....and the only reason piercings get infected are if you dont take care of them
i have: snakebites,tongue,eyebrow,industrial, and a HOOD piercing.
the only piercing that has gotten infected was my industrial.....becuz i didnt take of it and i slept on it.....if your gonna do something extreme to your body make sure you know what your doing and you wont regret it!!
