Things to avoid: Idleness.

Yeah, that sometimes is a big one for me. Whether it be day dreaming or just letting my mind wonder fruitlessly... It's better to have a schedule, and be as productive as you can. If for nothing else than to maximize the amount of time you have for everything else.

College was one of the biggest areas where idleness caused me problems. I learned to be a lot more proactive, and gain the attitude of just getting things finished and over with so there is no pressure.
