Great orchestration of music and film. It certainly 'looks' like a utopian society. Had the 3rd Reich won the war, Hitler would be hailed the next Alexander the Great. Hitler's 3rd Reich was about restoring the nordic bloodline, conquering for the sake of reuniting the bloodline, and exterminating all the 'inferior' people's (or enslaving them in Siberia, for service to the 3rd Reich). What a dream! WW2 was NOT fought to stop the hallocaust. I would've supported the Soviets.

You know Hitler got the idea for death camps and indeed the entire jewish holocaust from the American holocaust, I am of course talking about the eleven million native americans that were slaughtered between 1869-1889, they too were put into death camps where millions starved and or froze to death, but the majority were killed by U.S. Army rifles and bayonets and sabres, but of course the nazis to this day epitomize the ultimate bad guys, when really we unfortunate americans are ruled by evil.

i sort of imagined the same things when i heard this song, i mean in a more modern context where everything is symetrical and perfect and "facist, baby". the elegance of the video wasnt really overtly nationalist but i though the lyrics and the images were basically images of perfection-symetry, beauty, somewhat mysterious. Perfection and un-concerned self pride were which the nationalist and facist regimes had wet dreams and fantasies about.

A world of order, a world governed by the righteous ones, the beautiful ones, the good ones, the chosen ones, or simply, the pure (innocent) ones. new world order. brave new world. paradise. I heard this song on some "obscure" caffe del maar album - but this is so stronger message! so it is Nitche and the superhumans. It is horrible when you think of where it (utopia) ended eventually.

@coexist1974 It isn't that cut and dry. Germany was envied by the world, until war and extermination camps were realized. Germans were in awe of their military victories, economic growth, and revitalization. Understand, US Gen. Patton put German POW's into death camps (without food, medicine, etc.) War is terrible for everyone. Right and wrong is not the issue, and history does repeat itself, sadly.

There is memory (dead soldiers, victims from holocaust), but we can't forget history (origins of war, how a lot of people became alienated with nazism...)

but what do u know about history except what u heard in school, read in books or so. History is more complex, there are tales that we "common people" do not know. I think when something wrong happens like war, than its not because people are stupid and make the same mistakes, its because there is a bigger plan behind it. U think that the world leaders didnt know about the holocaust, the upcomming of the 2WW and try to stop it, it just was not in their interest, in fact they supported it.
