  • i live there and i was in that bus

  • Lol at the Smart Car.

  • мы по таким дорогам постоянно ездим. бывает на летней лысой резине, и всё хорошо.

  • Do you have winter tires? I mean winter tires, not allweather or rain tires..

This is nothing in comparison to winters here in Latvia.

So get prepaired next time and dont blame the weather. ;)

  • I got to work then to find it was shut due to weather and had to get fucking back in that carnage

  • that bus is fucked

  • That's what you get when you see no need for winter tyres, but see the need to get out when it snows ...

No issues for all smart people with proper tyres

  • it was hectic last year the school busses got stuck so we all decided to ring the school and say we cant make it, the school didn't open for 2 weeks after that.

  • Get prepared ready for this winter. Buy some snow chains! Some reports are predicting snow as early as the end of this month (October), with it potentially lasting the rest of the year...!

  • @tangomoggy We may heed your warning, I bet you the council won't.

  • January*

  • I SWEAR 90% OF YOUTUBE VIDEOS ARE UPLOADED IN JANURARY

  • This is NOT the UK it is Canada or siberia maybe but we dont ever get snow like this in the UK

  • @marshalllucky well we did in scotland they gt 4 feet of snow

  • @marshalllucky

Your a dick. Lets see the bus has 'F' on the side for First (Great Western) which is a franchise running some of the buses and trains in the UK. The bus also has a steering wheel on the right hand side as do the cars - now lets see. I don't think they have the steering wheel on the right hand side in Canada or Siberia. So unless its Australia or New Zealand or a hand full of other countries it doesn't snow like that in then....its the UK.

  • @xr6lad you mean YOU`RE a dick ( not your a dick). If you gonna insult me at least spell the comment correctly ;-)

  • @marshalllucky cant figure if that was a touch of sarcasm ? Defo UK check the reg plates on the cars and councils have not bothered their arses to attempt to clean the roads probably cos they couldnt afford the grit or the diesel for their gritter trucks. They just like to watch their highly taxed citizens struggling in dangerous conditions. Iam sure Canada and Siberia dont have this problem.

  • The busses are causing the problems here in the UK. Whenever we get snow they get stuck. Put a snow plow on the front of them and then you have a bus thats getting rid of the snow and taking passengers. There's an idea Mr Cameron. Instead of taking all our money.

  • Amazing. We had 3 feet of snow this year, and we never get any normally. It took me 3 days to actually need to select 4WD in my 40 year old Land Rover... And that was on the original style crossply tyres with tread at around 3mm. I got to work every day, never late, towed people out of ditches etc.... The biggest problems were other drivers getting it all wrong, hard packed crusted ice over snow, and bloody traffic lights stopping other cars. I had to drive around stuck cars all over the place.

  • I like how, thanks to cars sliding around in the snow, some of them are actually pointing in the right direction for a change, instead of backwards like they usually are.

  • To all the people saying "well they should have snow tires" you are right. But we hardly ever get any snow in the UK so there would be no point in having them. Some of you are also right. Our country does seem to make a lot of fuss over just a few centimetres of snow.

  • @RedRoosterRoad ...I think the video provides a great reason as to why...Do they use snow plows in the Uk at all, or any of the road clearing technics that are available?..There's just no reason for that lille amount of snow bringing everything to such a halt...Although I would say if it gives ya time off from work, DON'T change a thing!..lol

  • @glk001 I agree. It's silly, we get a small amount of snow and BOOM! we back in the dark ages. We do have road clearing techniques, how effective they are i'm not sure.

But like you say, if it gets me time off work, don't do anything! lol

  • c'mon people! the light is green let's go! let's go!

  • 4 feet of snow in Manitoba Canada, But that's what we get every year

  • why am i watching cars getting stuck in snow ?

  • Dude why dont u stop walking around and focus on the goddamn cars??

  • For crying out loud it's not that hard, some new tires and easy on the throttle.

  • It's a pity that they should be unaware of the simple tool which could solve the skidding troubles on ice.

  • @noskidable Snow chains?

  • @leapoffaith20 No, it is not the snow chains. It is a tool, installed on a car to lay steel studs in front of tire treads with rotating rubber fins. These studs are to go back after tire treads pass over. You could see this simple mechanism in other relevant blogs.

  • @noskidable Interesting, I've never heard of those, do you have a link, or a trade name I can search?

  • 15-20 cm? why dont you hop in the snow belt with the rest of us

  • useless, only country in Europe cannot deal with snow - sad

  • @warlubie I heard that gresse Is much worse then the UK when it comes to snow. Apartantly when they get just 1 cm on the ground the whole country panicks.

  • It is probably because most if not all of those stuck don't even have winter tyres on!

  • That's hard to believe that 6" of snow would stop traffice that way...But a few inches will stop anything with summer tires on...Knowing the UK usually doesn't get a lot of snow, I guess it's excussable...But mates, least try some good all season tires...Those are not terrible conditions, not good, but certainly manageable...Good luck this winter!..

  • @glk001 Yes, its laughable over here when theres 3" of snow, people just don't know how to handle it, and I bet the vast majority of divers aren't aware that winter tyres make such a difference. We don't usually get snow or ice on the ground for long periods so people dont consider changing tyres, even though the last two winters we've had snow on the ground for over a month at a time

  • @joetol I hear ya Joe...Even a dinky set of tire chains for bad weather days would keep people moving...Well Good Luck mate...

  • @glk001 we will do just fine

  • @Eclire123456 I have no doubt you will Eclire...

  • One thing that England is not good at: snow removal. :D

  • Its this stupid country, it cant deal with any kind of adverse weather condition. Light snow results in mass hysteria, food shortages, trains and aircraft being stopped and people staying at home.....but hey, we have the 2012 Olympics...lets just hope it doesnt snow!

  • thats why busroads hacve to been cleaned in germany^^

  • They give them a licence and call them drivers? Anyone that abandons a car in the snow should have thier licence revoked for 2 years and the car crushed.

  • What Type of Camcorder are you using my Friend

  • terrible drivers

  • @TheWaglover

terrible? Look at these conditions and try it for yourself!

  • @obi89 of course they are terrible drivers. It looks like this whole winter where i live but the people can still drive properly (of course not all of them). I actually love driving in snow.

  • @obi89 no problem have it like that every year here in Nrway as well

  • @TheWaglover

MAYbe in your case, but not for the others

  • You have tiny centimeters in England! 15-20 cm is >6 inches. This would cause minimal problems in Ontario. You can get up a hill using fast zig-zag steering, Failing that, with front wheel drive you can use your handbrake to do half donuts and work your way up the hill sideways! Try to go straight on icy snow and you will not.

  • yeah this might be bad weather but a few accidents would be all here in Finland.. not a complete stand still!! Actually just had weather like this here on thursday..

  • @SuicideCyclist20 Buses have an option for 1st and 2nd gears too.

  • @b2311e

But that doesnt help U if U have no tractiion. And it doesnt matter wich option U choose automatic buses always start in 1 gear. I know that cause I´m a busdriver myself here in germany

  • @b2311e no they don't. all buses start in first gear, and quickly change to second gear from move off. there is no way to keep a bus in one gear in severe snow weather. it's credit to the drivers who get a bus unstuck if safe to do so, unlike most car drivers, who will do their damnedest to get going regardless of the consequences, or damage to property or other road users

unless you hold a PCV licence, then you can't comment

  • WHERE THE HECK IS A SNOW PLOW?????

  • GO ! 4x4

  • Тоже мне хаос :D

  • some bus gearboxes have push buttons which let you set off in 2nd

  • I got a whole week off school because of this :)

  • is it in UK??^_^

  • @diomarbaet18 yeah i live there! IT WAS LIKE A FOOT DEEP!

  • omg is that the smartfortwo lol not smart at all lol

  • i couldn't get my car out the drive! got 3 days off work! wohoo!

  • Looks Like North Manchester - Near The Entrance To Nrth M/cr Hospital (Cresent Road)

  • @cydonia2012 It sure is.....Crumpsall to be precise

  • which area is this in mcr? nice video

  • Snow tires would help a lot. We've got snow here almost every winter, that's why people change their tires and they drive pretty normally although a bit slower.

  • it`s called winter

  • @tomafek Not in england you penis

  • Great footage, right place right time! 5*s Rated.
