history of d song - in rajasthan d bride returns home in winters for 3 days according to rituals, d bride sits in d pleasant, clear cold night with bon-fire not so far from the lonely dessert, surrounded by villagers as marking a happy moment, & where she tells bad n good about her in-laws, later she makes the people eat food n receives blessing in return
let me correct you a little bit....Devarji samjha leve means that when the sas starts insulting the bahu, devar comes n sumhow clarify his bhabhi that its saas's nature and since she is an old lady so not to take anything said by her on heart.
Rahman actually modified the tune and Prasoon Joshi just made certain changes in the lyrics from the original version i.e. Gonda Phool a folk song from chattisgarh.... they mention it in a talk, not sure if in the movie they acknowledged or not... ne ways if any one has the original song pls post tht... :D
this bollywood song has really tapped the immense power of our folk songs written by unnamed village folks. these songs are scattered all the lengths and breadths of our numerous villages and kasbas. the irony is that this tradition is dying thanks to the reach of westernised bollywood catchy songs.
Rekha Bhardwaj, the singer of this song has a special husky quality in her singing. She sang the 'Omkara' song 'Namak ishk ka' with the same excellence. She is indeed a wonderful find of bollywood who will regale the huge audience in future too.
folk is music of all.............. .so we shd not say that it is stolen......kesariya the folk of rajasthan has been sung by many singers including lata ,mehndi hasan, sonu nigam and many more...and in the same manner............bcos folk is based on ragas .for example kesariya balama has mand khamaj raga......so folk songs are not property of one man, tribe or state.rather they are universal
hello ghore sir...............i hope u r doing good der............i only commented on folk music that it is not property of any one.......the mindblowing artist of 1970 who made such a beautiful song has also stolen it from chattisgarh folk it means...........
Prasun joshi stole this song. This is a folk chhattisgarhi song. It was the composition by late Gangaram Shivare and the singer was Bhularam yadav of this folk song. Later on Ramadutt Joshi, Dr. Rekha Joshi and Prabhadutt sang this folk song in 1970. Shame to Parson Joshi and Rehman - you even not thanked the real artists of chhattisgarh.
The title of this video is cheating. The uploaded video is only for 1:21 mis and its mentioned full song. This is not right.. In tile the part full song should be deleted.
They are the vocal sounds made by the keepers of doves in residences in most parts of North India and in Uttar Pradesh, particularly. Doves in their hundreds are housed as pets virtually and kept in sweetly designed cottages on the flat roofed terraces of these homes. Every morning they are released from their cages, free to fly and move about. When they have had enough the owners come on the roof and make these sounds that you hear in the recorded CD, to bring them, the doves, back home.
