This felt so real when I first saw this. It was nearly unbearable. I so wish everybody got these morals and allegories. A lot of old testament stuff. The company you keep, my brothers keeper etc. And most importantly that drug addiction can touch anybody, anywhere anytime, it is a disease and treatment needs to be available to anyone who seeks it or we're all in danger.

This really was a great show. But in reality, NYC cops are WAY tougher than any of these guys including Bosco. I thought Sully was the most realistic character on that show. And further a lot of NYC paramedics are a bit more indifferent to most things. They have to be to keep from quitting.

@just4funzees I have to doubt that because you would have to, not only know every cop, paramedic and fire fighter but also know about every second of their lives. You really don't know how they react, secretly or publicly to things. May some are really tough, maybe most are, but you can't say all.

@Ana0060 I often wondered if Wells knew fans of this show would understand the delay in Kim and everyone's grief, because as all of us fans know we were not even given time to adjust to Bobby dying when 9-11 took hold of New York as well as the rest of us. That day America would be changed forever. I feel this song is very fitting for the fact it did not matter whether they were FDNY or NYPD because they had to ban together to help each other.

I unfortunately have only seen a handful of third watch episodes. The episodes i did watch were good, but this episode with bobby passing away was probably my favorite. It was very well done. Very touching. I do admit, i had tears watching this episode. I liked when he asked his dad if he stayed if he could stay with him. Not sure if it did, but i felt this show or episode should of won an award.

no others even come close.

shows us that we have heroes amongst us, doing their duty and living their lives everyday.

and it did it before and after people had lost interest in the FD and PD when 9/11 happened.

most people loved them for a month after 9/11 then forgot. this show was showing us that these are true heroes 2 yearsa before 9/11, and for a few years after as well.

If I had been Bobby, I would never have taken Pauly's drugs like that. I would have told him "I've done all I can for you. Now its up to you." and left him.

Bobby tried so hard to help Pauly, but Pauly needed to help himself. Addicts can be unpredictable, and Bobby put himself in danger in doing what he did.

This scene was SO sad! I cried buckets when you see child Bobby smile and hold his dad's hand, looking happy.
