Certain frames in the anime really bring out Hojo's drawing style, the matchless form he makes the body. Bring me back to high school again, his art was something I desperately wanted to duplicate. Glad to meet more of his fans. :)
I think what you've said is very true for City Hunter '91. Some episodes just have his artwork down to the T! Thanks for your comment WindCorsia! I have another one of these coming up, so stay tuned :)
T-Square makes great music. It's too bad we don't have them in the U.S., because they really are wonderful. Japanese music fans should be proud that they've helped to proliferate such good music like the stuff coming from these guys. I'm glad you liked the video ^__^
Thanks for posting. City Hunter was and still is an amazing anime. Your AMV shows clips from some of my favorite episodes. Bloody Mary, Robert, Silver Fox, Saeko, and the scene with Umibozu's date were excellent choices. Also, "MR. MELLOW" by T-SQUARE along with the originality of City Hunter shows how smooth the late 80's were.
There's my favorite on-screen anime couple: Ryo and Kaori! This was very catchy and creative. I've got season three of City Hunter on DVD right now and I'm enjoying it. I like Nogami, but she's too much of a user...always playing my homie Ryo the way she does.
I liked the episode right now where Miki is being held captive to marry some rich guy name Itharo. Did you ever see that one naikanomtom?
Bingo! You got it right. I can't believe Falcon, er, Umibozu was really gonna leave Miki behind (what a stubborn guy). Ryo knew that if he went after Miki, Umibozu would have no choice but to follow.
Hey, how'd you know I liked American Shaolin and Superfights?
Anybody who has Superfights as a fave on their profile has to love American Shaolin. I used to watch those movies like a hippie on crack when they showed up on HBO. Awesome choreography, awesome movies in general.
And here I thought I was the only one who enjoyed that movie. Everyone I've asked about it so far has said that it wasn't good, but I thought it was fantastic.
I got the feeling that youcompletely grasped the atmosphere of CH: I love how you mixed the sensual and restful moments with the moments of action, all of these supported by the so cool music!
nullest, thank you very much...that's a big compliment...dunno if I 'grasped' the atmosphere, but I hope I'm closer to it than some of my other City Hunter AMV contemporaries, so to speak :) The words smooth, cool and classy come to mind all the time to me when I think about City Hunter, so why not make a vid that at least emulates that, right?
Oh yeah! Now that's what I call smoothness! I love it! I am and always will be a City Hunter fan. I've got four of his movies so far and I've seen about three seasons of his episodes (half and half though).
Thanks a lot blueplague. You'll love the rest of the series, especially in City Hunter '91, where they'll have 1 episode devoted to how Ryo meets Makimura.
While its nothing super new. Check out the user GoodmansGhost to see my real stuff ;-) Im gonna post something new in the not too distant future over there.
Slick video there my friend. Thanks for the link. I'd love to see this show on Youtube with English subs. I know some Japanese, but not enough to understand mature subject matter.
I got this footage from the ADV DVDs, but when ripping this, subs were removed, and furthermore, I got complaints before that subs aren't a good idea for stuff like this since it can be distracting...thank you CyborgNinja!
perfewct coolness. its smooth and mild but easy going and light like a 1950s ciggarette was advertised. i enjoyed this and found it really likable. 5/5
T-Square's tunes really fit to the City Hunter atmosphere, no doubt about it. City Hunter generally is one of the best anime out there. Not only because of the unique and sad atmosphere, but also because of the outstanding anime character design.
Wish there would be more anime like City Hunter today, but instead we get only loli shit and stupid exaggerated stuff like that bitch Haruhi.
Anyway, great video naikanomtom. I especially liked 02:15 - 03:16. City Hunter ... alone.
I haven't watched City Hunter in awhile, so doing this was fun in some ways, but it was an AMV that I always wanted to do. Haruhi is another matter...I'm not so keen on that stuff unfortunately.
Thanks for the comment Matrimelee. Your words have reinforced what I set out to do with this AMV ^__^

That Miki episode is from Season 3, right? And Umibozu punches through the wall, or a mirror or something...it's been soooo long! :)
Saeko's a tease but we all love that! Thanks for the commenting sabre. You should post up a vid with American Shaolin or Superfights.
