  • Copeland=groove alot

  • O Yea ! The MAN

  • Y una gran banda con sólo 3 personas, genial

  • Mi canción favorita de esta gran banda The Police

    Gracias por el video

  • copeland you is fuck..the police.very good.

  • STEWART COPELAND ..WICKED DRUMMER

  • Paul McCartney, Geddy Lee and Sting.....let's hear it for the guys who play are both lead singer and bass player too !

  • @mocus1 And let us remember Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, Peter Cetera of Chicago, Hayim Witz, aka Gene Simmons, and many others. Rock on!

  • @mocus1 Mark Burguess of The chameleons

  • 9 people don't know what is like to walk on the moon

  • excelente a pesar del tiempo conserva el mismo tono..el verdaderamente es un maestro y lleva la música en la sangre

  • Eventho sting is gettin old he still looks as cool as ever!!!!!!!

  • Who would win in a bass battle Sting or Paul McCartney?

  • @GuitaraleleMan Paul but both are amazing bassists

  • @GuitaraleleMan In my personal and modest opinion, Sting

  • @GuitaraleleMan I'd go for Paul :).

  • Sting like as Louis Des Funes... :)

  • HEY !!! WATCH "JELLY PLANE" on YOUTUBE !!!

  • I love The Police and this song but hate fucking mix of this song. Only vocal and drums. Idiots...(from this TV)

  • Love The Police

    Hate Sting >:(

  • One of the best Pop rock bands out there!

  • i love their songs! I love Stewart Copeland

  • has the guitarist smoked too much weed or sumting cos he struggling a bit

  • @cjellwood i sometimes struggle to fit my entire toothbrush up my ass

  • @stormthorgerson lol !

  • Sounding cool. Love this tune.

  • The Jimi Hendrix Experience aside, Police were the finest 3 piece since, and never equalled as evidenced here....

  • OK one last thing as I watch again, Sting had a real pet peeve w Stewart. That was his tendency to speed up. This drove Sting crazy. And it happens here, nothing egregious but noticable. And you can see Sting's reaction towards the band and watch Andy's leg trying to keep time at the end of the solo.

  • @Gossage54

Actually, the chorus at 1:33 is virtually exactly the same tempo as 4:33.

    I'd even say 'exactly'.

  • @kin3tics agreed

  • As a drummer I of course love Copeland. His dedication to his instrument and this band can clearly be seen here in this vid. Sting milks it a bit walking around the stage during Andy's solo pointing and being "the star".

  • Neil Peart said Stewart Copeland was one of his favorite drummers.

  • I love Sting-Police.This was one of my favorite songs. This is Classic.

  • Good performance.

Copeland hasn't lost a thing. Sting and Andy were solid here too.

    I like it.

  • Right.....people with no brains insist Peart is " better ".

  • @MrBrentR agreed!!!

  • 3:26 .....WHAT.

  • Well, when you can say you influenced Neil Peart's drumming, yeah, your good.

  • muito bom.the police deixou sua marca.tres ótimos musicos.passe o tempo que passar,eles darão o recado..very good.

  • STFU with the "who's better" stuff..... stewbaby THAT'S SOME REAL FINE DRUMMIN RIGHT THERE. he is sooo recognizable. that's a sign of a TRUE artist.

  • 4.33 musical perfection

  • I loved The Police since 1979 and after listening I can only say; WHAT A BAND!!!!!

Stewart Copeland, the best drummer in the world!

  • ORGASMIC¡¡¡¡¡

  • top drawer........nothing cant top this...ever

  • Comment removed

  • maybe im biased but stewart is the only guy that came back just as good as he was in his prime. sting changes the versions of the songs and andy's guitar playing is just ok

  • Ok please don't kill me, but I feel The Police should never have reformed like this, these perfomances are no-where near the passion or rawnes of there earlier shows. When bands reform they kill the magic, that's why I respect Paul Wellers decsion not to reform the Jam, he was right, it just ain't the same.

  • Too bad these guys didn't get a therapist in to moderate their dynamics. Such a great band lost.

  • best version of this song ever laid down

  • Andy Summers makes a face likes he's constipated or something

  • no doubt now...i know where portnoy took his octoban lol

  • I named my cat after Stewart Copeland

  • @defect530 nice thats a great cat name! hahah

  • Este cara é muito louco!

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry I was wrong it was when he was at twickenham stadium I had a backstage pass

  • You probably ain't gonna belive me now but i was at that concert i think I was about 6 rows from the front and i even had a backstage pass to that concert you can all belive what you whan but it's true. :D

  • stewart is the policeMAN

  • Great Musik!

sempre in grande stile ..... DIO benedica queste Reunion!

  • GOD! THERE´S ONLY ONE POLICE...

  • La magia intacta !

  • I was there and I have to tell it was the best concert I have been to so far.

  • they are the greatest band.. i almost died when i went the the reunion tour because i never thought i would ever see them live cause i wasn't even born when they first started out.........best night of my entire life....

  • @oliviaofrome Same here! I was born in 1979 but thanks to my parents I grew up with their music! I only saw them live here on youtube, so when they came to Belgium I was lucky to get tickets to their concert: it was AWESOME!

  • copeland = god

  • The 7 retards that disliked this video must have the most repulsive taste in music .

  • STEWART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Andy! You are the Best. The singer always ruins the f#$king band btw....

  • stewert is david silvera but on different level as far as type of music so precise

  • Allthough in different genre, seeing Rush live made me wonder what this band would have done with modern gadgets if they were to begin now. I mean they were never shy to use modern technology. Otherwise I can't help the feeling this tour being the final The Police as a band would have deserved back in the 80's instead of the corrosion which parted their ways.

  • Been a Police fan since 1979 ( Outlandos D'Amour ) ---- Sting, Stewart and Andy not have aged well --- but seem to play better too ! Keep on Rockin' Police !!

  • @Capagool

I think they've aged just fine.....

People get old.... That's what we do....

And there isn't ONE little snot nose young band today who could outplay any of these guys. Stewart Copeland eats Travis Barker's fucking lunch for breakfast.

  • God-frickin-damn this audio person, such a crap mix. Worse than almost any i've ever heard! How does this happen??????????????????? I hope this wasn't the mix going out to the house. No bass guitar..oh that's nice. No lead either, really. Pathetic.

  • @kennywowie

this is The Police, they won't go around waiting for audio persons to be good: they have their own audio person traveling with them... to answer your question shortly: TV channel audio remix + Youtube video conversion... the results can vary a lot

  • Andy could use a couple of sit ups...

  • yeah bear in mind he is now in his late 60s :L give him some slack . lol

  • @swantthing I'll go out on a limb and say that when your Andy's age, you could use a few sit ups too.:-)

  • i can hear it and very well

  • the bass makes this song and i couldnt hear it!

  • first time i heard this since 1979 cool

  • They could play with pots and pans and still sound great... I can't get enough of this amazing band,I listen to them almost every day....

  • Sting was 56 when they shot this. Time for me to get back to the gym and lay offa beer.

  • @bacculus

Odd you say that, because I was about to give the guy props for looking so young at 56.

    Newsflash for everyone (including me)

99 percent of us arent going to look anywhere near that good at 56, and dont say its the money, because many of the same income and fame look like shiat at that age.

  • I swear Stewart hasn't lost a bit of energy. He's just fun to watch.

  • hes still the man of all of them hes the only guy that actually might have gotten better haha. his drums just sound amazing which helps haha

  • Yes, partly true...the man does have good genes.... but still a great role model to shoot for.

  • My god.. what a drummer Coppeland is... One of my favorite band ever, with Rush, Peter Gabriel and David Bowie

  • WHAT HAPPENED TO POP MUSIC??? WHY CAN'T WE HAVE THIS BACK?? THEIR STUFF WAS SOME OF THE MOST UNDER-PRODUCED, RAW, AND TIMELESS MUSIC WE'VE SEEN! NOTICE THAT STING NEVER NEEDED A VOCODER! I've heard he's a cocky git, but man, does he have a reason.

  • its new wave, not pop.

  • Imagine only a three men in a band that can perform live this way?! I really like this group from the start. Sting is a musical genius...Stewart Copeland a great drummer and soundtract/musical scorer of many movies..Andy Summers a guitar legend...AWESOME REGGAE ROCK MUSIC!!!

  • Regatta De Blanc!

  • @MRDIRTYLUV essentially thats all you need,a guitar a bass and drums??

  • is this the stadium that Rush played in???

  • 3:25 to 3:36.. holy shit. sting. is. a. GOD. i saw them in omaha, and it was the best concert i have ever seen. no questions asked. they are geniuses live.

  • Stings my favorite bass player! these guys are the kings of ska punk

  • Stewart Copeland is the drummer every mother wishes she could have!!! Love this!!

  • walking on the moon do do do do do do

max and paddy ha ha ha a classic

  • guitar could be a bit louder. impressive to see they lost nearly nothing of their live qualities

  • Excuse my ignorance but... when did this amazing group The Police got together again? This was just a one-time only thing, right? anyways, it's amazing to see them still rocking out! The Police forever!

  • shit i must stop smoke weed, but at this songits very very hard to do it not,^^, walking onthe moon for ever,.. love it

  • man I could listen to them jam to that song all day

  • I agree Stewart Copeland is an amazing drummer. It is the reason I like this song. I also think that THE POLICE were one the best bands of the 80s.

  • i went to my first gig at the age of 8 years of age, it was the police in the glasgow apollo with my late father, av been to loads of gigs since then and seen some great bands but the police where unbelievable. the place was rocking.

  • Neil Peart called Stewart Copeland one of his favorite drummers.

  • I've seen lots of bands and lots of 'reunions' but when I saw this band in Toronto, I thought they were still great.

  • awesome!

  • this song have a especial meaning

  • i totally agree with you drummerboyjustin. no other drummer in the world has his sound and style.

  • yo stewart sounded like an a million person percussion section.

    freaking sweet!!!!!!!

  • na ja eher mittelmäßig oder?

  • Copeland was definatly the Sound of the Police. Without him they would have sounded completely different. He IS one of the best drummers of all time.

  • New album please!!!!!

  • yea but sting had to be dumb and disband again

  • the police reunion tour was a little to Stingy ..if you know what i mean..

  • Stewart Copeland is such an underrated drummer, he deserves so much more.

  • 100% agree. He is such a good player. Very concious of time signatures and various styles of music. One of my main influences.

  • my favorite drummer.

he has a sound that no other drummer has.

  • Stewart is definitely great, no question, but I don't know if I would call him underrated. He made the MD Hall of Fame a few years back.

  • S t e w a r t ! ! !

  • Play the bloody song how it was recorded !!

The police are not a jazz band !

  • If you watch other great drummers play these songs, they deliberately and faithfully try to reproduce his style if not his sound. And, the super greats like Cobham and Phillips are too classy to do a cover although they might borrow a phrase.

Copeland was ahead of his time.

  • I love Copeland's drumming! But there are many others that I could throw into a "best of" list.

I will say this, if you take him out of the police, they would have probably been an also ran group, becaue he laid the foundation. Go back and listen to their stuff! Not to put down any other of the magnificent stick men out there. Isolate his playing, you'll see.

One of my favorites, without a doubt!

  • Coplend is great, but Neal Peart is God with drumsticks!!!!. I have to agree with humbledrumah, being a drumah myself, it's hard to figure out who's tops. I pick up so much technique from both of them. It's not stealing, drumming is a constant learning thing.

  • I agree, Copeland is immense! It's him and Carter Beauford as my top 2! Yeah baby

  • kings of ska

  • jejejejej!

    Idiota!

  • great performance!!

  • Stewart Copeland is the best drumer in the whole world !

    I love Them ;)

  • @flodrumers Stewart is really great!

  • @flodrumers

Neal Peart of Rush is quite a bit better - it's a no-brainer!!

  • @ecapa0020 probably i'd agree with you but i like copeland's style. he is the most unique drummer in rock history i don't think anyone sounds anywhere close to him.

  • am i too exaggerated to call this band "the greatest trio ever"?

  • no you are not at all. I think so too. Especially on this tour! Why cant they keep touring?

  • they only signed a contract to do 150 shows

  • it is not an exaggeration, however, Rush is also the same... the police is story is interesting b/c the were not loved in england, but, holland put them over the top when they first began. the police and rush = 6 pak of dynamite... i am told i drum well - and it is a kick ass time figuring out S.Copeland and N.Peart. tie for both power trios... "walkin on z moon"

  • Yes.

What about Peter, Paul and Mary ?

or Rod Jayne and Freddy ?

But seriously... would put them second behind The Jam...

  • it's awesome!!!!

  • ich liebe Ihn!!! Er ist so sexy!

i love him, he is so sexy!

  • looks like stings been throwing a bit of tin around...

  • Stewart Copeland is unbelieveable.

56 and better than ever. What a new sense of rythm, energy and syncopes.

I first heard Stewart in 1978, and Ive been a fan ever since.

Dont forget to check out the 1979 concert made by Hilversum television (Holland).

  • I know! Hes the best in the world, except for peart. You should have seen him in saratoga. Good god!

  • It's amazing how Sting kept his great voice for all these years.

  • Very nice *****

  • It is best misic!!! I am love.

  • copeland is soo sick.

    this po-lice has mad groove.

  • copeland justgets better and better i think he is better live insted of on the cd

  • Am enjoying Andy's very unconventional accents in the first and second verses.

  • Stuart is still a genius

  • incredibly well mixed ... nice work ... not like other static-laced "live" videos

  • stewart's killin' it

  • ohhh, wow, i liked that!

  • god!, those drums are just isane.

  • totally agree

  • Yeah! Try getting high, sitting on the drums and get carried away by these grooves... You'll be insane!

  • Sting and the Police are way better than Cas Haley

  • Stings relentless yodeling over Stewart Copeland's drumming is really annoying.

  • It doesn't sound that cool on video but when your there its a massive call back to the crowed I saw them twice and when you were inside when everyone said eyooo everything had a blue tint it was pretty cool looking

  • totally ... before I went to their show last year i wasn't full of expectations but after that concert I knew that I was wrong. These videos really hide the real power from their reunion tour.

  • Yeh I think he was looking at me during this..I'm pretty sure...

  • Cas Haley will never be as good as the police

  • r u insane? how could anyone even compare cas haley with the polis.

    what a stupid comment sorry...

  • ah.......................... no.

  • your totally wrong, maybe theyre old but at their best they kick his anoying ass

  • I am SO GLAD I went and saw them last summer! Next to the Stones, it was the most sensational show I had ever been to...and ever will got to!

  • Old men but they still sound cool! :-D

  • Sting remains in excellent voice!!!

  • His voice has aged like a fine wine :-)

  • This song is a fussion of a reggae and rock.

    Excellent.

  • Such a nice solo Andy :)

  • Stewart always had a very original technique, that's what makes him great. No one else sounds like Stewart.

  • awsome band

  • Fantastic clip. What a dynamic band! I curse them for cancelling the Oslo show this year, though. Stewart Copeland is one hell of a drummer...

  • I Love Stewart Copeland! :-O

  • Yes,he's got so much energy.I wish I was like him at this age.

  • hell yea

  • AWESOME!

  • I like that in the first chorus, Sting starts to move the way he did in the old days.. That brings some memories to my mind :D

  • Hi garvim. Where did you get the opening live Roxanne snipet? It sounds like Nov. 29, 1979 at the Palladium in New York City. I've been searching forever for that concert in good quality (have a very poor recording of a lot of the show and it is the best Regatta show / even best Police show ever). Thanks
