I am grateful, of course, for EVERYTHING you have posted, but may I ask for a favour? Would it be possible for you to cite the ACTUAL dates of presentation of the wonderful clips you so often post (to our delight), instead of the year the relevant record appeared?
If not, please don't wory. We are grateful, this way or the other.
Since Nana and Harry started their tour in USA by 1965, and since Hary here declares that there have been 14 years from the time they first sang together, I opt for 1979. But I was referring to your sources: Obviously, you have some recorded videos. Don't you know when they were recorded?
The broadcasting date of this recording is from Nov 27, 1980, recorded shortly before that. It's from a German tv concert called "Ich Singe Was Ich Sehe".
@Nananut001 noticing your comment ...I first heard that Harry Belafonte discovered Nana Mouskouri in a cafe, They, then produced an album... entitled :"An evening in Greece" in 1964.Ive been listening since 3 years of age . Although I didn't understand the lyrics at the time, as they were sung in Greek..
@phfrankh According to Nana ("Memoirs", 2007, a Phoenix paperback; right at the Introduction), Harry first heard her on the British TV (he happened to be in London) on the 23d of March, 1963, when the Eurovision Song Contest was on air. So, it was not a cafe. He later asked Quincy Jones to persuade her to go to the USA, so that she could replace Myriam Makeba. The common record came later.
@Nananut001 Thank you for the correction . It was the story I heard way back . When I heard how Nana was discovered by Harry I assumed that was the official story. I know every word of each song on the album they did together and I don't even speak Greek. Thankh you again!
Incredible!!!

This show must have been around 1978 since their combined album came out around 1964.
