i think they both got hit by a car. Ive never seen a vulture perched on power lines before. ontop of power poles yea.....but wires? no.

I considered that but there was no reason for both those vultures to be on the road. There was nothin to feed on. No fresh kill. I have seen vultures on top of telephone poles and on towers for power lines. Perhaps that's where they were perched when they were hit by lightning. At any rate, they were both fresh kills and both weighed a ton when I tried to move them.

The storm was very severe and I figure the birds have to have aerodynamic trim (wings) so once they fell off the power lines they probably glided to their final resting places (before I moved them off the road).
