ah does anyone know what the type of song of the songs that sound VERY nostalgic and weirdly reminds me of paris. i think its a ballad but im not entirely shure.
That's correct, it is a waltz, but it's usually a musette waltz, with certain characteristics: usually a "wet-tuned" instrument (the reeds are tuned just a bit "out" from each other so they 'beat' and cause a slight throb in the tone) with very chromatic bass leading and what are essentially now considered jazz chords, but without as much swing (although there is some). Usually the strongest characteristic is a blizzard of eighth notes going by, many notes at a time.
whats the name of this trio?? i saw them in the main square of krakow near the town hall tower two summers ago selling cds. absolutely amazing. i regret not getting one but i cant remember their name for the life of me.
that's cool but joel has more soul.Not only that but the instruments are different. the difference is that these are chromatic accordions and joel has a diatonic which limits you to only 3 keys.
