I'm trying to decide if I going to get the 18" or the 20". do you think the extra 2 inch affects the pattern very much within 15-25feet? I like the extra ammo of the 20" model. thanks for the video.

Nah. Just more weight. Plus its hard to get a heatshield on a 590A1. I would much rather have a protective heat shield than a thicker barrel. The thick barrel was designed to increase durability from bumping against things like metal bulkheads on navy ships. I don't live on a navy ship lol. The heatshield also protects against heat waves coming off the barrel and disturbing the site picture. Sure that might take longer with a heavy barrel but when it happens it could be prolematic.

Yeah I guess they're okay, just not quite my style lol. I really like your shotgun bro, I hope to soon get either a 590 SP or 590A1 and make sort of a legacy "trench gun" with it. 20" 8+1 with bead sight, heat shield, M7 bayonet, standard synthetic stock and a sling. I'm going to try and make a modern version of the old trench guns like the M97 and M12 Winchesters of the WW 1 and WW 2 era.

@DBabyNinetyOne91 Do you have a vid of that shotgun? Also, where would you mount a tactical light on it? Most shotguns where the tube magazine matches the barrel length I've seen don't have room to mount bayonets, either.

Wow. Just look at yourself. Why are you dressed like that? You dont need that thing around your neck pal, your not in Afghanastan. What practical purpose does it serve? I can understand the tactical vest etc but you need to ditch the scarf to avoid looking like a poser. Not trying to put you down, it just gets on my nerves when folks dress like this stateside. If anything it makes you look more like a terrorist and people might get the wrong idea.

I like the shotgun tho.

@DBabyNinetyOne91 Shemaghs are great things... Sweat rag, instant shade, neck warmer, etc. If you take a look at my 1911 vid you can see another lovely view of it. I was sunburned like a roast pig that day and I forgot my hat, hence why I had it on. A crapload of people use them for the same purpose that our guys overseas use them... And I like my shotgun too ;)

@EstavanCruz Well five minutes prior we were shootin AKs, hence the rifle mags. Take a look at my AK reloading drills if you are interested. Shotty reloading? You really cant speed reload those without the proper equipment.

Im sure this will drum up some debate.. I had both Rem 870 Tactical and 590 Special purpose with speed feed and 9shot. After using both of them side by side for months I came to a clear decision that the Mossberg is a better shotgun by design. You have my favorite model A1. Speed feed, 9 shot, Ghost ring. For a pump gun it does not get any better
