The terminals in halo 3 show that the flood had a gravemind for quite some time BEFORE they escaped. The flood was going to be one of the FOreruners next great creations (mcuh like the engineers) but they got loose and formed a new gravemind or compound mind, this then corrupted Mendicant bias who helped the flood attack the forerunner, but after a sound defense from Offensive bias and the firing of the halo array, the flood were obliterated except for those still confined to the halos

Have you played Halo at all? It sounds like you haven't. forrunners did not make the Flood. They found a planet and sent a team and it never came back and they sent another 1 and it never came back. Also Johnson did not released the Flood you twat.
