What I know about Pearson is we are getting a genuine person, who may not be to everybody's liking - but at least he is himself - not a product of spin doctors.

@Jeorney He doesn't have to give up his peerage. I believe Lords have been Prime Minister before- we are a parliamentary democracy, whereby the leader is chosen by the party. Furthermore, the Prime Minister is usually put in the most safe seat his party has, for example Brown in Kirkaldy and Cowdenbeath. So the difference is in a prenominal title, which means nothing. I'd rather have Lord Rannoch than Dr Brown as we currently have.
