  • my jam!

  • This song is from MIAMI VICE Ep: EL VIEJO Season 3 11/7/86

  • Una joya

  • @frankenangel - Thank you for your reply, accusing me of being a know-it-all and implying that YOU know it all. Quite YouTube of you. ;-) However, this is the early version as found on the It's Called A Heart 12" and Catching Up With that came out before Black Celeb, and as an assignment to prove this I want you to put Black Celeb on to compare. Note the lack of samples ("over & done with", etc.) in this early version and darker tone on Black Celeb. BTW: I was 17 when the song came out.

  • @thedamnmushroom I had it on cassette tape, I'd say that was pretty early alright.

  • i love making love listening to this song.

  • Love this song ^^

  • i love that song why she's not on the album black celebration in this version who's much better

  • my parents and i used to have a joke:

a few years ago we had "good vibrations" by the Beach Boys on a cd in the car, and right after it was done, the next song on the next cd was "fly on the Windscreen." and we laugh at the difference of mood. It was so sudden. lol

  • Come to think of it, this version is off the It's Called A Heart single, which was then put on Catching Up With Depeche Mode. Truly, a classic song.

  • Should've been one of DM's greatest hits, but the first word of the song is "Death". So much of a better song than "But Not Tonight", IMO.

  • In case anyone didn't know, this song was use in the show Miami Vice, season 3 episode 7, "El Viejo", starring Willie Nelson.

  • YES! One of my favorites!! DM forever!!!!!

  • I think every group has its time and depeche mode since the late '90s have not gone to do something so special like this song and do not think they (without wilder) do it again.

  • anything from DM is awesome..love them plenty..thanks for video

  • AmAZing song

  • The Best group ever! I will never forget seeing them in concert while in college at Florida State. Every album, song is a classic and I will listen to them until death! Thanks for everything DM especially the memories!

  • spectacular song!!!!

I love it when its live.

  • love love this song

  • splendide depeche mode comme d'habitude

  • solo con hacer esta canción, una banda para mi ya es la mejor del mundo, pero nadie más aparte de depeche podría haberlo hecho, son únicos

  • It's a unique track really: with it's estranging arrangement it captures the ' black celebration' mood probably more than any other piece. Amazingly strong still, and definitely - as with almost all of their work- way ahead of it's time.

  • yes best song from them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of the best song from Depeche :D !

  • amazing song , who wrote the lyrics ?

  • Martin Gore

  • Thank you for posting! Great song!

  • Not a complaint, just a clarification: This is the early version that was on Catching Up With, not the one on the Black Celebration album (that's the "Final" version).

  • really,thanks i didnt know that

  • @ellaDM4life whats the difference?? exactly cant tell is it the voice that that yells " i dont care hwo u feel!"

  • @thedamnmushroom For more clarification it was a b-side, and never released as a single, though the popularity of the song made a few devotees angsty...

  • Thank-you for posting the song/video.D.M. will always rule!

  • Super, super, super....ma ti si zakon!

  • Great post! My favorite song on my favorite album. Really captured what their new movement was about. They really expanded on the "It's Called a Heart" b-side and created something special. Thanks!
