The fellow holding forth there: his name escapes me, but I've seen this film three or four times (I love it), and I've always thought he was fantastic. A memorable performance.

Hahaha so true. Girls always think there is a shield in front of every jerk. They assume that men are just mean, because they feel insecure on the inside. Nothing can be further from the truth. Girls invent the insecurity shield in their own heads, because they want to justify the fact that they are sleeping with a complete asshole.

@TijoKJose exactly! You see everybody in this world does not want their reputation damaged. These girls think these guys can protect them but yet the assholes are the main ones beating them down like animals! But it all goes back to low self esteem, these girls are in these abusive relationships with these assholes because of low self esteem, low self worth and they don't know what they want. It;s funny to, all these girls are dumb and the asshole can only get the dumb girls.
