I'm the THIRD generation in my family who has enjoyed Omar Shareef's comedy. None of us have ever thought of him as Pakistani. He is a legend. And we respect him a lot.

These people are legends. Even my mom and grandad used to watch Umer Shareef's comedy back in the 80s. It didn't matter to them which country they were from. It doesn't matter to me too. They are all great artists and I respect them.

I agree with all the comments below! India and Pakistan are two different trees but their roots are common. Ye sari nafrat ghatiya politics ki den hai warna koi wajah hi nahi hai fasad ki. I remember Umar saying in Laughter Challenge, "Hum adakaro ko ek bridge banana hai dono mulko k beech main." He will be proud and happy to know that both Pakistanis and Indians love him very much. Long live this legend.

@skbalanmahetab thanks for a decent comment, Mr Indian, for a change! Just to add to your information, this show was shot in 1989! So that's why the quality isnt that good, being on Youtube makes it worse.. I used to have a VHS copy at home, it was pretty decent.

i am from India, and i am really ashamed that some assclowns (read- politicians like bal thackeray) forced shakeel to move back to pak after the mumbai blasts...

he's such a genius and the best improviser and comedy artist i've ever seen.

all Indians miss him on the comedy shows on T.V., and i hope he comes back soon

I'm from Pakistan =] and according to Shakil, he wishes these matters to solve, and he says that audience and people in India are very loving...and I really am happy and impressed that how much India gave love to Pakistani Artists. I am with you, all this politics is BULLSHIT...and it tries to make both countries HATE eachother, which isn't true...cuz fortunately, we have brains in our head, no in our ASS like them...

The only problem is people on both sides do really nothing to prevent this kind of crap happening which regresses the efforts made by the few trying, people need to speak less and act more against stupid politicians,but lets be real nobody wants to face politicians& their goons,thats why people like shakeel suffer.pakistan should close down the training camps that it is famous for & India should work getting the right people in political positions who can make the right decision.
