No doubt it will walk the flat head, but you cant beat the sound of the old flat heads, and sometime its not about the speed, but about that classic sound.. My pickup is stock, open diff, not geared, no power adders, STOCK. Best track time was 13.5. When it was geared and on the bottle best track time was 11.98 at 5,300 ft.. It's not a wicked fast pickup.

Don't forget, I'm NOT spraying, took the spool out, wen't from 4.11's to 3.50's, and I'm on worn out street tires and spinning all the way into third, just to let you tuners know, that's final drive for a C-6. One more thing, I'm also not running the trans brake.

@mikeyhobbs1 That's everything the kid told me. It was a pretty clean car under the hood, I couldn't physically see the wastegate but it could be a recirculating gate instead of an atmospheric dump.

My truck has a BONE STOCK 428 Cobra Jet, open differential, 3.73 gears, bald ass tires, it's simply a grocery getter and that's actually what I use it for lol. It run's 13.5 which ain't bad for a driver. The DSM in this video is turbo, I promise. The kid driving it was talking shit and I got sick of it so I shut him up. I am currently working on a car to run 9's. It is a 1966 Ford Fairlane with a turbocharged 393 stroker. Thanks - Calvin

They're both slow as hell, don't care what you "used to have" on your truck. It looks nice, don't get me wrong. But that was like watching two refrigerators on skateboard wheels race on a slightly angled surface.

Lol. Try 11.9's at the track but you are correct about the Talon, SLOW. Don't forget, I'm NOT spraying, took the spool out, wen't from 4.11's to 3.50's, and I'm on worn out street tires and spinning all the way into third, just to let you tuners know, that's final drive for a C-6. One more thing, I'm also not running the trans brake.
