Milton Friedman was proven right in Communist China. How? They are and were a 3rd world country, one of the worst since China stopped being capitalist. Since, they've slowly began to become capitalist (they aren't quite there yet), they've experience great amounts of growth. People have also been leaving poverty. Something communism failed to do for them. They're not quite there yet, but what they have is a start.
