Sound of your character taking damage with no shields. But since the regen was up, no one was able to die, so the characters were grunting from the force of the impacts.

it happens whenever someone is in a regen. when they are recharging on red bar and it keeps going into red and blue, it causes the game to think that the person is dead so it keeps making death noises. i had it happen a lot when i played halo :D

in halo3 when u take health damage your spartan cries out in pain...but then if u get to cover your suit heals you....it sounds like since the regenerator was healing him fast it was like torture to the spartan...shot within an inch of his life then healed..each time it happend he or she screems lounder and louder. pain. but instantly healed after that....imagine a spartan getting hot by two shotgun blasts point blank...heart stoppes beating but hes still fighting. being kept alive by the armour

I read a comment before and it said the reason of the sounds is because the regenerator. If it wasn't there, every sound would be that person dieing. I've heard it once in game too.

Spartans and Elites make those noises when they are alive, but supposed be dead. This happens a lot with regens.

•If you want to do it easy, go into forge, have a friend throw a firebomb at you.

•As soon as you get red barred, turn into an oracle.

•When your shields recharge as an oracle, become a Spartan or Elite again.

•Your character should start crying in pain like in this video.
