  • you guys are awwsome!! :))

  • This actually looks good. My granddad used to make this when my mom was growing up and she said that it tasted really good. I've been interested in other meats lately like cow tongue and heart. I will try some recipes for tongue.

  • pickled tongue and heart good eating

  • You guys are too cute.

  • O.O ..eww haha

  • YUMMY!

  • Tongue is delish! You can make a stew w it too.. Great w some crusty bread

  • I never had cow tongue. But I would like to. I think everyone should at least once. You're gonna like the way it tastes. I guarantee it.

  • Why isn't eating normal ground beef or steak good enough for some people? This is disgusting!

  • @lexworthington2 Because offal is good.

  • How long do you boil the tongue for and with what?

  • Cow tongue tacos are my favorite. So tender and then with a bir of cilantro, lemon and a nice salsa um yummmmmmmm

  • You guys rock! If you make the tacos again I would highly suggest blanching the tongue until the outer layer loosens, remove the membrane, then braise in a beef stock with dried peppers, cumin, etc. As a Chef cooking is my passion and some of my best memories come from cooking with my girlfriend. You two are awesome!

  • You guys rock!

  • y'all did a good job, next time try some pico de gillo on it instead of that salsa, you might like it. either way, its nice to try some thing new. And if you dont know how do make it. Send me a MSG and I'll get back atcha with the way my fam. and I make it. Happy eatin's!

  • Could you post the song playing in the background on youtube. Ive been dying to listen to it and Cant seem to find it anywhere but here. Thanks

  • dude its not going to lick you!!

  • You guys actually did a good job, but grandma makes it better! lol

  • you don't have to cut the hat skinn with a knife you know?

  • WOW YOU GUYS MAKE ME HAPPY TO KNOW COUPLES STILL COOK TOGETHER ;)

  • I wanna try some.....

  • even how nasty ppl would say that is, ya'll made it look kinda good haha. Great Video.

  • dude, I make tortillas sometimes twice a week and I still get the ratio wrong every other time.

    tortillas are a fickle mistress.

  • Cold cow tongue with mustard or horseradish makes an awesome sandwich.

  • tortillas are always so hard to get right. i'm totally trying parchment paper next time.

  • @gcj8925 haha, i wouldn't use our tortilla making from this video as a good example! Its been a couple of years since we shot this video and have since learned how to make both corn and flour tortillas much better. I think our problem back then was really just using too much water, so now instead of following a recipe's amounts we just do it by the feel of the dough.

  • Your presentation is wonderful, but it would be nice to see a list and amounts of the ingredients used. Thanks.

  • I usually boil the tongue alone for about 25-30 minutes, to the point where I can remove the skin and once that's done then I add the condiments, such as onion, garlic, bayleaves, seasalt and continue cooking it for about 1 hr on low heat on a container with a cover and about a cup of water. During the first boil, I make sure the tongue is covered with water....love cow tongue

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!`````````````` that is good!!!

  • if you wait 20 minutes after boiling the tongue it will still be easy to peel but wont burn your hands.

  • Yummmyyy!!!!

  • Nomnomnom

  • The meal that taste you back.

  • man i love cow tongue!! i wish i could live with you guys!! haha, and i'll send you another recipie for salsa

  • I dnt like tongue but u guys made it look tasty!! Good job on the tortillas to...u live in Laredo...u gotta know how to make tortillas lol!!!

  • felicidades ustedes tienen corazon mexicano :)

  • cool

  • what about a corona with the tacos?....hummmm they look good .....how did you cook the tongue?....did you just boil it for a long time or did you cook it in a pressure cooker?

  • Nice tacos!!..

  • try pico de gallo (roosters beak) with aguacate (avocado) 2 tomatoes cut into lil squares , 2 jalapenos no seeds please or you'll regret it also cut into very lil tiny squares, half onion shopped into lil squares, mexican lime, some salt and last 2 nice ripe avocados take the bone out and dont cut slides but srape it with a spoon the mix it all together. Hope u like!

  • very cool guys!i love all your stuff! so me.

  • After a little coercing I had cow tongue the other day too. It has amazing flavor and can't believe I've avoided it for this long. That said, I still shiver at the thought of eating tongue.

  • i love to see other people from different nationality's cooking mexican food, the same with other foods

  • That's it. I'm buying a beef tongue tomorrow.

  • ha ha i love how you 2 cook together its great and how u make the tortillas awsome!!!!

  • I like your different approach. Good job. Thanks for showing how to peel the tongue!!!!

I recently had Gyutan aka Japanese style grilled cow tongue at Uchiko in Austin last weekend. It totally changed my perspective on tongue. I love the taco wagon style tongue tacos but the japanese version is over the top and incredible. Next time you are in Austin give it a shot. I'm trying to reverse engineer what they did.

  • A very nice couple!

  • awww you guys totally drained off good stock! Mmmmmmm tongue tacos...

  • great ! how much time you boil it ?????

  • i see the cow tongue all the time in wallmart.

  • yah that tongue looks very very fresh

  • you guys are very brave i could never eat that ew

  • cows tongue tastes so good.i will buy and make

  • It'd be great if you gave a recipe as you went so we could replicate what you've made... I guess that's why you've called yourselves 'foodtease'? I don't know how to make what you made, but I'm not so freaked out about the initial blanching and peeling of the tongue after seeing you do it, so thanks. But recipe wise -share - please!? x

  • slow cooker over night with lots of spices does it for me !

  • This has inspired me to make some cooking videos...

We should have a cook off!

  • Wow! where did you get that fresh tongue?

  • @moi20003 where we live, in Laredo Texas, you can get tongue at any meat market or grocery store in town.

  • even the tortilla was home made. Looks great and delicious. I want to give it try!

  • yummmy

  • nice vid....those tacos look so good....one thing you guys don't mention is how long it takes to cook the tongue....i cook it in a pressure cooker for about an hour...to serve it any sauce that involves tomatoes, onions. jalapeños and chicken stock will do....

  • Retain the broth in the future!

  • Seconded. It makes great rice.

  • im eating this right now it soo good n looks so gossr

  • looks so good...

  • you both are darling!

  • Aww you guys are a cute couple! Nice that you cook together. We do too. What made you try tongue- just a dare? An adventure? Most young people wont eat foods like this. I am a teacher and I mentioned tongue in class once- 1/2 the students nearly threw up! I grew up eating all sorts of different stuff bc my dad was raised on a farm. So far I have eaten fried cows blood, pork kidney, beef heart, lamb, snake, head cheese, goat, blood sausage, rabbit, eel, deer, game birds, pheasant, duck, etc.

  • LUV beef tongue tacos!!

  • I ate mine raw. The 100% grass fed tongue I bought was not BLACK! I believe corn feeding beef largely effects the meat quality. The bolus at the base of the tongue was tender and delicious, but the actual tongue part was way too tough to chew, raw. Perhaps next time I'll try skinning it. The heart I ate was far tastier, but again, corn-fed beef heart does not come close.

  • One of the best parts to eat from a cow. Enough said.

  • what goes into your sauce after you peel and chop it up into the pot? My local taco stand serves them on corn tortillas

  • exelente los felicitos son mur sabrosos esos tacos .

  • You meant on 3;23 Its like tofu for in case ......

  • you could also cook it like you did the cow head. and it gets really tender and delicious.

  • theeeeeeee bbbbeeesssssstttttttt ttttaaacccooooooosssss.

  • EWWIIEEEWIWIWIEIWUIUEIW D:

  • what is that song? Love the videos.

  • "All You Can Eat" by Ismaila (feat. John Smith). If you check out the videos via our website, there's a "music" link underneath each post that you can click on to see what songs are used in each video. Thanks!

  • The chick in this video is hot

  • Great Video. 5 Stars :)

  • what about oxtail?

  • mmmm Oxtails are my favorite cut of beef. I prefer an oxtail soup that my Grandma makes. GOD I MISS TEXAS!! IM me for the reciepe

  • I'm planning on making tongue today (boiled first, then braised). I hope it turns out ok.

  • looks so good!!

  • You guys did a great job!! I make beef toung tacos a lot "tacos de lengua" hehe.

My kids love it. I cook it with green onion, cilantro, a green chili, a dried red chile, a leaf of celery, garlic and salt. All this gives the toung an excellent flavor

  • i never tried cow tongue?

    look kinda good!!

  • I love tongue tacos

  • Great Job!!

  • Its the real authentic taco right?

  • the cow toungue cooked right is awesome

  • I tried my first ever pig tongue. It was great! I got over my fear of cooking it watching this video.

Pig tongue is much smaller than cow tongue and less intimidating.

  • shit looks bomb. I want to eat your tongue :)

  • cow tongue is awesome. people need to get over the fear of it. they're willing to eat every other part of the cow but the tongue. lame.

  • nO OFFENSE BUT U GUYS COOK FUNNY!!! FOR THE SALSA I WOULD BOILED LIKE 8 TOMATILLOS WITH 3 OR 4 RAW JALAPENOS AND 1/2 OF GARLIC LIKE I SAID BOILED THEM AND PUT 1/2 CUP OF WATER AND SALT AND THAT GOOD WITH COW TONGUE TACOS...

  • Yes, I'm guessing lots of different salsas go well with cow tongue, its tasty!

  • OH WELL Forgive them for not being Mexican. lets see you cook classical french.

  • everything is fresh

  • i forgot do u guys eated with lemon and salt? and cilantro its good!!

  • cow tongue is good but very VERY high in cholesterol, too much cholesterol

    artherosclerosis

  • Damn yo you guys are making madd hungry. Have you done chilie killies, and pesole yet

  • to cook the tongue do you just boil it and if so how long. i don't know why i just suddenly got interested

  • my family boils it for 2 to 3 hours?

  • Great video. I looooovveeeee cow tounge it's the best taste EVER!
