  • not sure what happened here but all songs on the Dennis Parker album were excellent for the times of 1979 and the album and it's songs should have been monster hit's of the Disco era ,somehow Dennis and this song, along with his classic Disco album just got overlooked at the time and as time went on,many thanks to you for posting this and shining the light on Dennis again

  • Have this album on official CD release and it sounds perfect!

  • yes, great song...I love molali´s style

  • Poor Dennis , He should not have taken this decision :(

  • @aandoraa XD

  • @Leuxdeluxe

es que se suicidó tras enterarse de que había contraído SIDA y pues es una pena pues se había vuelto muy famoso, no lo pudo soportar y baaannggg !!

  • Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesss!

  • and it's obviously produced by Jacques Morali (producer for Village People, Ritchie Family etc)like his previous album Like An Eagle. Not a bad tune, very well produced! Thanks for posting it!Any idea if it has been released on an album?

  • "High Life" was on the Dennis Parker LP "Like an Eagle" released in 1979.

Only one Disco album for Parker but very good tunes like "High Life" produced by Jacques Morali and Henri Belolo and composed by Morali

  • Oh OK I'm sorry, Iown this album but I haven't heard it for a long time, so I forgot all about High Life. Since you are French you should definitely know P.Juvet. The songs he made with J.Morali sound very much alike D.Parker.

  • Yes exactly Patrick Juvet is one of my favourite Disco artists. He is Swiss but he is considered as French. His songs of the LPs "Got a Feeling" and "Lady Night" have the Morali touch!

  • .01-.05

  • Only one life, I want to live so high, and unfortunately, he died of AIDS.

  • thanks so much for this song. it's so upbeat and encouraging!!! the true essence of disco!!

  • This song PERFECTLY sums up the Disco ethos:

"Life is a game and we are players. Living for fame and love affairs. Only one life, I want to live it - so HIGH."

  • i dont remember this song, it must have been one of the more obscure disco hits from 1979...not real catchy
