Wow. I just think of all the billions of people out there, yet God knows each and every one of our names. We may be completely and utterly unworthy of His love but He continues to love us. He refused to give up on humanity even though we had strayed from the path, sacrificing His son instead so that we may be free from the sin which would have bound us to tight. We are not worthy on our own, but through Christ's sacrifice we are. He is El malei Rachamim, our merciful and compassionate God.

And I didn't pay attention at the beginning of the song so I thought that she was talking about how she finally found a good guy who cares about her and "knows her name" or something.
I heard this song for the first time while driving home from work. I had the CD in, but had not gotten to this song yet. When it came on and got to the first chorus it sent chills up my spine. I could not help but cry... it was just so touching, and it made me really start to think. I've always been a Christian, but I really need to be a better one. To think it took such a simple reminder that God is always by my side, and loves me no matter what to make me want to change.

fireflight is amazing. i saw them live once...and i met 3 of the band members. they are so devoted to God. i thank them so much for making positive beautiful music, but most of all I thank God for giving these people the talent to do it.
This song really made me cry, too... especially on the part where "no one notices in the crowd". I am a pretty quiet and shy person (even though what I do ministry wise does get me some notoriety). So, I definitely won't stand out too much in the crowd. This song continues to remind me that God is there for me at all times, even in situations that seems grim.

He had to go to court and everything and he was innoncent. God was looking out for him. I saw on the news once that a woman who was in labor died and so did the baby. Anywhom, its the fact that elements started all of this, cells division and DNA create us, not an invisible man who lives in the sky. And actually, science generally makes sense even with the holes. I heard this song for the first time while driving home from work. I had the CD in, but had not gotten to this song yet. When it came on and got to the first chorus it sent chills up my spine. I could not help but cry... it was just so touching, and it made me really start to think. I've always been a Christian, but I really need to be a better one. To think it took such a simple reminder that God is always by my side, and loves me no matter what to make me want to change.

Jesus christ, She said she was not worthy of breathing your air and eating your food. In fact she sinned every day but you still loved her, you never gave up on her. You still told her to get up and keep going because you'll make it right, you'll make her clean. My other half, my best friend and future wife has been taken by her dad, restricted completely. Cell phone turned off, email, home phone, car keys taken.
On top of that? I am 22, have spinal arthritis, bulging discs, slipped discs, abnormal curvature, bad knees and tendinitis in my arms.

We have all received talents, and perhaps this is your chance to use yours for what they were meant for. I'm sure God can and will deal with your shyness, if necessary. (I took up a musical instrument for the same reason last year, and I can't tell you how happy I am that I did!)

The meaning of this song reminds me of "Held" by Natalie Grant. Both songs speak about when times are hard, God is there - not that he'll change the circumstance, but that the hard circumstance doesn't change how much he loves you. I love this song - and that song too. :)

fireflight is amazing. i saw them live once...and i met 3 of the band members. they are so devoted to God. i thank them so much for making positive beautiful music, but most of all I thank God for giving these people the talent to do it.

This song really made me cry, too... especially on the part where "no one notices in the crowd". I am a pretty quiet and shy person (even though what I do ministry wise does get me some notoriety). So, I definitely won't stand out too much in the crowd. This song continues to remind me that God is there for me at all times, even in situations that seems grim.
