@WillSmithIsntFresh Since the ocarina in the games are instruments capable of playing an Octave + 1 (or 3 i think), you can play all the songs from OoT and other songs you can come up with with the range.

Nintendo hasn't programed Sun's Song in Majora's Mask because by playing it, many weird things and bugs would happen(like the postman, clouds and time based characters running really fast) and if you play it while the on evening of the 3rd day, Termina will be instantly crushed by the moon(preventing this would require lots of memory and space on the ROM).

I think the Sun's Song would have been a way to break the game at some point for casual gamers, though, huh? Correct me if I'm wrong, because it seems like if the time passes faster and loading into a new area breaks the time flow, there wouldn't be much of a point to having the time system, since you can fast forward most of it. It would be really convenient though. :)

They used Song of Double time because they wanted you to skip time, not to change the time of day. Anyways, don't you think it'll be strange if a non-time song sped everything up? but I agree with you.

@ragrappy00 it's quite simple as it only speeds up the timeline and fast forwards to a certain point...they just redesigned the appearance and left it in as a secret, namely the Song of Double Time, which is only revealed to those who speak with scarecrows (;

It's not THAT much better. The only benefit is that if you want to skill a couple hours you can. But you'll probably mistime it because it moves so fast.
