@kaybizzat: If you have acted in videos or theaters in school, you will know if you are good enough. Think of it this way. What evidence would you be able to give to agents in New York that would prove that you want to act? Videos, theater plays etc.
yeah i want specifics. i JUST saw a little interview special on here about how celebrities became actors and what they did to become succesful actors and they ALL beat around the bush and said "oh well one day i woke up and said this is what i want to do for the rest of my life so i went out for it and started going on auditions." HELLO! you wanna telll me what part of the city you stayed in while you were auditioning or what acting teachers/schools you recommend?" i want SPECIFICS!

I kept going back and forth with myself, thinking, oh do you want to act, because I didn't know what my parents would think, and finally just called them and said listen, I want to go back home and start acting, so I came back, jumped into a class for 8 months This project was like the 5th or 6th audition I've been out on, and it came my way.
@diamondbelle Thing is I think the teachers and schools have some kind of rule against letting their clients (actors) tell where they had learnt from. From doing research so far, because I really want to act now, I have heard that most real agencies and agents do not want to be advertised because they all ready have enough talent to work with. This is why it is so hard to find them.

but how do i know when im ready to go the newyork to start my career because im only starting to sort of channel what im talented in.
please reply to this i need to know how to be succesful and how to be sure of my talent because its easy to say than do...
