  • Hi i went to school there around the 80's at kayser school ,are you familiar with init reastaurant by the airport? I had fond memories of that island but unfortunately no pictures. anyway just sharing my thoughts...

  • You might like to look at my clips of Windhoek in Namibia. I was there last year. The mine in Tsumeb was a lot like Nauru. They had a place called "Location" too. I didn't understand why there were similarities until I found out the mine was run by Germans and also British in the past

  • islandbiatch. Thank you so much for putting music to so many of my photos. I do have some more photos which I will upload when I digitally enhance them. I was there in 1974/75 and have very many happy memories. I would like to see a lot more photos uploaded to the RON website. If you have any PLEASE........

  • Nauru and the good old days will live on forever in our hearts. One day it will be restored and we only have to pray and believe, but also enforce our motto as the song says "Gods will first" I will always love Nauru where my heart resides wherever i may be at any moment in time. God bless Nauru.

  • I am writing a book (in Chinese) on my childhood years in Nauru from 1964 to 1974. From the late 50s to early 80s there were thousands of Chinese labourers work in Nauru and my father worked as the Kitchen Chief for the Chinese community and also he owned Star Twinkles Restaurant. I have very fond memories of Nauru and I would appreciate if anyone has any pictures or stories to share.

  • @starstwinkles hi, are u Po Man?

  • Nauru, la república mas pequeña del Mndo. 21 Km2 y tan solo 11.000 habitantes. Por desgracia, ese país se va a la ruina, se le han terminado los yacimientos de guano.

  • Dear islandbiatch,

i love this song. could you write down the nauruan text and give me a translation of the lyrics? I am italian and would like to be able to sing along, knowing what it means.

  • What National Anthem is this?

  • This is not the national anthem.

  • theres not much in nauru so its pretty funny that they have a website....but i love that place....due to go there soon..........see my family

  • does anyone know any nauruan sites...like anything. The place has changed so much. I saw a documentary a few months ago done by a french team, more focus was on the refugees, but if anyone knows any good sites, I would be happy to know.

  • I'd love to hear of Nauruan websites, too. Cenpac used to have a cool message board, but it's been gone for years. Our Airline has a bare bones website.

  • Nauru now has an official tourism website at discovernauru dot com.

  • Nauru has a new tourism website. Just google "discover nauru"

  • U nauruan ? what a strange country, still cool to visit

  • yeah mun!! nauru bwi-emwa!!

  • yeah man... nauruan represent ne!! deinaero ne jya wo tengeiy!!

  • Beautiful and song and memories. Lived there between 77-79. Lived in Meneng. Went to N.S.S. I remember the 10cent bus trip to the outdoor cinema on a Sat night, and the civic matinee. China town... school social's and crikes I hope they arent still listening to Bony M??.

    thx for sharing your pics.

  • Grew up there. I made great friends over there. I hope you guys are all well... wherever you are!

  • an impressive video well done!!

  • so wea u from??

  • havent been there myself. Is gud to see Nauru anyway. Just next door to my island anyway. Good song 2!

  • im pretty sure it is da smallest country.. but den again i dont do geography.. hapi 2 know if dea'z a smaller one out dea.. lol.. aiight tap bak...

  • In terms of area, Nauru is the third smallest country. Vatican City ( 0.2 sq mi ) and Monaco ( 0.6 sq mi ) are smaller than Nauru ( 8 sq mi ). But Nauru is the world's smallest republic. ( I see they're reforming their constitution. ) In terms of population, Nauru is also third smallest. Vatican City has only 1000 people and Tuvalu has only 10000 people; Nauru has 11000 people. Also, Tokelau and Niue, which are affiliated with New Zealand, have 1000 people.

  • isnt nauru the 2nd smallest country in the world? its only 21 sq killometres

  • Very nice video. Good to see Nauru get some attention on youtube. Islandbiatch, what song is this? And do you have any video about the Nauru national anthem?

  • Kayser Church (was baptised), Aiwo Hotel, Bodarba (buy your tuna have a swim), Civic center (leaky roof and red carpet in the cinema, NPC hospital (was born), Amara, B727 (flew to Australia in), Anibare (nice picnics, swims, Dad fishing at the end of the reef), Fosters (blue haze near Menen hotel, Foster cans piled up hehe). Left Nauru in 1981 (8yrs old) but I still remember it all...

  • Wow - that was great. Having grown up there myself, it was great to see the island again....cheers :)
