I wonder how long a dog can stay under water.

Given it's large red blood cell count they should be able to stay for a long time, but I'm not sure if the body is able to adapt.

what did you do to have the camra under water? did you use a plastic bad like a ziploc or did you use a didgital camra that can og under water?

I put the camera in an old fish tank and partially submerged the fish tank in the pool - and I also wrapped the camera in plastic to prevent it getting splashed.

thats awesome man--- i discovered my pup dove when he was a puppy while on a hike and he went swimming in a nearby pond.. his stick he was fetching sank---and he went after it. i of course thought my puppy was drowning and started throwing my backpack and clothes off and was ready to jump in after him when.... he popped back up with a stick covered in mud that he yanked from the floor of the pond out... hahaha--- i then trained him in a pool where i got him to about 6 1/2- 7 feet dives :)

Most labs are good swimmers/divers. usually if your dog has webbed feet, thats a sign that they are exellent swimmers. Check their paws for webbed toes. That means they are great swimmers. But, they may not always like the water so don't force them. Just trying to help ^^ i have a dog and he has webbed feet and he absolutely LOVES diving and swimming in our pool.
