Classic Game Room HD - JOUST for Atari 5200 review

When I was 7 I had a game of this going that lasted a couple of hours. I compared my final score with the one in the Guinness Book from that year and I had broken the world record. Obviously the 5200 version was easier, but come on, I was 7 f'ing years old.

I've had the 400/800/XL/XE BirdAss of this game for like 29 years. It would seem the 5200 version is almost exactly the BirdAss same! When two players are BirdAssing together, that's some BirdAssAwesomness!!!

i mannaged to find a never before used 5200 controller and guess what? it didnt work besides the joystick, luckily the old eraser trick never fails, but honestly why did they use "circuit tape" instead of a circuit board?! thats the stupidest idea ever, i guess it seemed futuristic in the early 80s or somethin

If you're that serious about Joust, just run MAME (arcade emulator) and get the original ROM's from the original stand-up machines and then you have the actual game. If you're a big fan of old school arcade games, someone you know probably has this...

Also on the SNES and Genesis versions of William's greatest hits, which is the collection the PS1 version is on as well. (granted these lack some of the features of the PS version)

The Genny and SNES versions are pretty equalt except for robotron which has poor firing controls with the Genesis controller.

The first time that I played this game, I was confused as to how to even play it. I was trying to hit stuff with the lance, only to fail miserably. At one point, I accidentally landed on an enemy, and I immediately understood what I was doing wrong. XD
