  • 1:30 Great, so he IS better than me at everything

  • you sir, are a genius. but can someone tell me if this is worth buying if you play bass 4? or if they make these with less rebound for some of the larger bases? cuz I don't want to grow use to playing on this and then suck when I get on my actual drum.

  • Place it right in 'ner.

  • How much does it cost how can I get one

  • @krackmanable It's about $57. Check Vic firth.com for multiple links to different stores.

  • I Made one of these in the band room at my high school at McGavock in 2005

  • sufferin' succatash!!!!

  • I really wish this thing had been around back in like 1990 (yes I'm old). Would have saved me so much aggravation back when I was starting out in the world of marching percussion. And even more when dealing with the next year's freshmen. Great idea.

  • @johnnyklocko glue and pvc (and the mind of McGiever) could replicate this in ten minutes.

  • @skiddlecrumms It's "Macgyver"... but I digress.

  • hey!! i met this guy

  • GAHHHHHH I WANT ONE.

  • his lisp is hilarious. But he's got better tenor chops than me...so yeahhhhh. haha.

  • Can i use real bass mallets on this pad?

  • bad idea. they're not meant to hit something hard like a pad. you should probably stick with snare sticks for any pad

  • love the pad very useful

  • @lhdl0809 does it ever fall over when u hit it

  • Brilliant, thanks.

  • So simple, yet so..perfect.

  • Haha, but he's Bill Bachman. He does what ever the crap he wants :D

  • You're a fucking moron.

  • we do at my university for visual and for expression.

  • i got mine a few days ago.. and its perfect... it helps a lot and i have been playing for four years. and it still helped my technique... i recommend the bass pad for anyone... and its really helpful at home when you need extra hours to practice those cadences and warm-ups

  • i got mine yesterday but my bass drum is a little bit wider than 14 inches but it has helped my technique

  • i have one of these.

and our drumline practices in front of mirrors to fix it. dance room or black box.

and i love my bass pad. i'm gonna be a bad ass lol ;]

  • That's really cool idea. I'm glad they've finally made a bass pad.

  • rim?

  • anyone know what sticks he's using?

  • Looks like the Ralphie Tenor stick actually.

  • This is actually some good stuff, but I would try to utilize some sort of reflective surface (double-paned windows or simply mirrors in dressing rooms or weight rooms) before buying this.

  • wow nice pad

  • yeah called a mirror, drum tech, or just paying attention when you play. You may be right, i have never used a HH bass pad, but i still stand by my original opinion that it is not worth the money.

  • Who has a mirror by them when they have a bass drum on? What about when you have the actual drum on..how are you gonna pay attention if your stick is in the middle of the freakin drum...you can't. Bah. Maybe it's not worth the money but I don't think it's pointless.

  • Your mom wasn't worth the money..

  • COOOL.

  • yet next to useless...

  • Uh, not at all actually. That would be extremely helpful. Obviously you have no idea what you're talking about.

  • Yeah i guess you're right...within a week you are able to play in the center of your bass drum, congrats.

  • Oh, crazy news, it makes a difference whether or not you play in the center.

  • haha dude ur a dumbass u just got pwnd. i wish i used this wen i first startd.

  • I'd take a week, considering some of the bassdrummers I've taught or marched with have taken all season to play in the center.
