For all you saying that this scene is an over reaction, when I was younger I was standing in barely thigh high water and I was knocked over by a fairly small wave similar to the one in this clip. I almost drowned that day. The size of the wave doesn't matter. There's always the possibility of a strong undertow. Once you go under you don't know which ways up or down.

yeah, I know,and I should be enjoying the movie, and I shouldnt care about mistakes but this was too much, No matter how much I love the cutting edge movies (especially the first) these mistakes are annoying me since they are so lame. Of course it means the lp, but in figure skating nobody uses this expression.the worst thing is, that with a minimal research these mistakes wouldnt exist.

the weird thing about this movie is that I never got why out of the blue Alex decided to marry Heidi cause it's not like he was steadily dating her at all even before Jackie showed up in the picture...if he had been I could understand but it seemed like all he was doing at the time was playing the field so what the heck?

The costumes they're wearing at the Nationals look like Kate and Doug's Olympic costumes -- very nice. :) The move he performs at 9:02 -- isn't that dangerous and illegal in amateur competition?

Well, I guess people doing movies like this don't care too much about the actual skating rules (or just know very little about figure skating). It's not just the illegal elements, but also the thing they skate with flashlights or with music with vocals at competitions. And what the hell was the "nobody does side by side triples in competitions"? Which year is this movie from?

So I guess you just have to forget about the real skating rules when you watch movies like this and just try to enjoy;)

When he picked her up, though, she was still in the water. When they come ashore, her feet are *full of* sand. She'd have had to have walked out of the surf on her own, to have THAT much sand still on her feet, lol; because the ocean water would've washed most (if not all) of it off. That's just sloppy attention to filming detail -- what is it called? a "continuity error," I think.
