  • WOAH!

  • passengers will depart with mohawks

  • it did not even hit the airplane

  • @RAWRROCK1 No, it just happened to strike at the exact coordinates at the exact height of a giant metal tube.

  • Awesome footage Chris! I too am a Durham native, and I live by Jordan High school.

  • DAMN NATURE U SCARY

  • have wheels and cant be hit

  • imagine the pilot that was in that plane watching this video, he would be like "mathafucka hit by lighting n still alive" hahahahhah

  • oh im on the lightning part of youtube again

  • A380?

  • ахуеть все живы ?

  • are it destroyer???

  • modern airplanes (excluding homebuilt and most single-engine piston planes) are built to withstand lightning to a certain reasonable level. When an airplane is struck by lightning, usual damage is to the structure in the fashion of melted skin - at the entry and exit poiints, along with a couple intermediate points along the lightning path, and occasionally may fry a couple electronic devices (which, by the way, are also designed to withstand lightning).

  • nothing problem

  • woah another close call for something to go into the twilight zone

  • the plane is designed to make the electricity go through the wings protecting the passengers

  • It wasn't the lightning that hit the plane.

It was the plane that produced the lightning.

  • @Theinmokadara What?

  • happens all the time

  • Back to the Future Thumbs up if you agree

  • airpane? HIT...i can't see any damage!!!

  • Its funny how lightning doesn't do jack but mobile phones will make planes crash instantly =/

  • @RandomAlexLol It's because the lighting hit the earth through the plain... if it hits only the plane... well, that wouldn't be nice, anyway, the plane is not on the ground so that wouldn't happen so easily.

  • @RandomAlexLol,

HAHA... mobile phones don't make planes crash. They disrupt the equipment on board. It's a safety precaution to turn off the devices.

  • @RandomAlexLol Cell phones don't make a plane crash, you idiot? They just mess with the communication devices on the plane...

  • Plane is what happens?

  • Zeus is just saying hello to the flying thing in the sky.

  • @Chuckalakala Thor*

  • @TheDweeg Actually Zeus can do that shit too!! But yeah ur right... </3

  • O)MG

  • You know I watched a black guy die like that (Chronicle)

  • Was everyone ok? :|

  • @laurenlawson2011 Yeah, they would of been :) they is no connection to earth so they wouldn't of felt a thing Maybe a rumble or two but it will just feel like turbulence to them. The power would of just been absorbed into the air and plane.

  • oน่ากัว

  • DAMN NATURE YOU SCARY

  • 'Big Bang' strikes coming soon to London to wipe out evil thieves of the world; ha ha ah ha!

  • the plane is just in self defence mode

  • lol @ the comment below

  • this doesn't affect the plane

becouse its hollow and electricity only goes trough metals

    ask your teacher :D

  • @matsie234 Ah no, electricity takes the least path of resistance.Be it metal, water or your flesh.

  • @matsie234 lol its made of metal though, electricity can go through a pipe as easily as a solid piece of metal

  • @matsie234 Just stop. Really just stop, for your own sake.

  • Apparently, the plating of a plane is supposed to stop the lightning traveling INSIDE the plane, so instead the lightning just bounces off. c:

  • and all the people in that plan become Flash and superman.

  • so much for needed to fill up that should of given enough energy to last that bad boy a week.

  • Did you guys see that? The flashing light stopped for few seconds after the shock and then back. I thing the flash pulsed the electronic system on the plane and then it restarted.

  • man: knew I should have took the bus,its more economical

  • and not a single accident was given that day .

  • And thats how thunderstruck is written by ac/dc

  • @SvddenDeth You tried for da like but howcome no like

  • @22burst2020ddsspec im just writing comments for trolls like you

  • @SvddenDeth huh? lol alright.

  • @22burst2020ddsspec Shuddup fag you play runescape

  • Comment removed

  • @SvddenDeth SvddenDeth uploaded "Runescape Membership Generator"

  • Tesla's back bitches

  • Is the plane alright?

  • @rspker123str

    LOLOLOLOL

  • Then they were in the year 3000.

  • @TBJack3000 you tried

  • @22burst2020ddsspec

Tried what? My comment made it on the video? I think it was a success.

  • @TBJack3000 Ye me too.

  • -.- lightling proof hahaha

  • Lightening never strikes the same place twice... OBVIOUSLY...

  • zeusssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • This is from the movie "Shits on a Plane."

Because in a moment like this, who wouldn't?

  • omg i hoop thy ar alive

  • @donalder117 *I *hope *they *are

  • @donalder117 Srsly?

  • Planes get hit by lightening all the time. They are built to withstand it. Think about how common fork lightening storms are around the world. You think we would be using planes if they were effected lol. Still pretty cool to see though.

  • @Dracorientalis yup, you nailed it. reading the comments here is kinda sad though. videos like this seem to attract high school drop outs like nothing else.

  • @hardstyle905 As does any youtube video...! haha

  • heres a fact if ur a pilot and u get stucked by lightning theres no need to worry it dosnt damage the plane !

  • @EpicLolzy *here's *your *you *struck *there's * doesn't. oh dear.

  • @abiicanfly *you're

  • actually this happens ALL the time

  • It survives and people are ok because it's a Faraday cage

  • @BillG985 True but it was probably loud as hell

  • @BillG985 Maybe god really wants someone dead

  • guy looks at his wife* whats wrong? hair sticking straight up* XD

  • Wow...

  • Damn he was so close to 88 miles per hour. He just about made the jump back in time.

  • Thor was the passenger. Told the lightning to fuk off

  • the pilot looks like mmmmm nice now back to work!

  • if that plane was struck by lighting, it would of been in smitherines

  • @thr33wisemonks Didnt you just see it get struck by lightning, lol. Besides its obvious you have no clue what your talking about. planes get struck by lightning all the time. nothing happens retard.

  • @jorgec5151 it's just that the camera was in a positional angle at the time of filming the plane and the lighting strike. visualize yourself filming on the opposite side. you'd probably get the plane and while the lighting is elsewhere. do you get the picture/the drift? now that's a fact. who's the retard? :)

  • @thr33wisemonks calm down before you hurt yourself. Next time you pull something out of your ass, something might rip.

  • @thr33wisemonks Stay after class.

  • @holyshiiiiiiii please explain

  • @thr33wisemonks The plane isn't in smithereens because they specially design planes with an aluminum layer that conducts electricity incredibly well. It's designed so that the lightning can enter the plane (a conductor) in one place, pass along the body of the plane, and exit out somewhere else on its path to the earth. Underneath the aluminum are extensive layers of insulation to block electricity, especially around the important instruments. The most they'd notice would be a light flicker.

  • thor is travel in plane :D

  • Now what? A plane in flight is a faraday cage, and therefore can't be struck by lightning!

If it hits one end, und goes along the hull to the other side, the plane wasn't harmed...

  • I would piss my pants if I was on that....

  • 200 New Hulk s Born

  • Shocking...

  • это монтаж

  • Terrorists are trying to use nature against us now...

  • an airplane fuselage is essentially a giant lightning rod. that being said, while probably not best thing to have happen plane to on a regular basis, it really causes no issues since the electricity passes along the outside of the plane on its metal skin, shielding everything important that's on the inside of the craft.

  • lmao someone should paste a "I don't give a fuck" meme on that plane

  • WoW

  • Is that fake

  • @jacksmith694 I don't think so.

  • @jacksmith694 no. 100% real

  • can someone tell me, if in this situation would the passengers get like a serious electric shock or would it be like a short zap

  • @crussell96 Airliners are designed to be struck. The lightning passes harmlessly through the aluminum body of the aircraft. Electricity takes the path of least resistance. Passengers did not feel it at all.

  • @DragonMasterMarf cheers

  • everyone will depart with a mohawk

  • passengers looking out the windows like "fuck this shit, never going in a plane again"

  • RED ALERT!

  • Guys its a telsa cage. thats why the people werent harmed nor the aircraft

  • SHIELDS UP

  • The plane can take a hit by lightning, but can the pilots eyes? "AHHH" *Crash*

  • the reason the plane isnt effected is because its a "tesla cage"

look it up for more information

  • poor a380

  • @17stevenmasz Cool story bro

  • oh wow. so you're telling me i could have been sitting in plane and get struck by lighting and not even know? wow

  • lightning "TAKE THAT BITCH"

Plane "DUDE IM RESISTENT TO LIGHTNING"

lightning "Fuck those people that made you"

Plane " Fuck you that striked me, Go cry to mumma"!

  • Im still amazed planes are capable of redirecting lightning bolts

  • is the lightning ok?

  • Engineering at it's awesomness.

  • i got the same but i'm in the plane

  • wow dude imagine seeing that from inside the jet it but be like :O

  • @ElexionExonAvalon Seeing it.. from inside the jet...?

    Dumbass.

  • @AggressiveIy "Dumbass?" Why? I think "seeing it from inside the jet" would be pretty awesome myself. There would be nothing but a blinding white flash for a second or two, leaving you temporarily blinded. You might even feel the electric vibration, your hair may stand on end, the lights might flicker or fail. People would scream. Why would imagining that make one a "dumbass?" I suppose I would be one, too.

  • Makes me wonder if you would notice while inside if the windows were closed and whatnot.

  • @TheDrunkenMantis Often the only way passengers and/or crew even know if ehy are struck by lightning is actually seeing the flash. Airliners are so well grounded that lightning is often not even noticed when it strikes a flying plane. Sometimes, however, usualy because mechanics like me make gross errors, there can be anywhere from minor damage to catastrophic failure due to lightning strikes. Airplanes are just amazing machines. Lightning is pretty amazing as well. Awesome video.

  • The three posts below this one should be read with the first one being the response to XChillX42, 3 below. As You Tube gives only a small box for responses & comments, I couldn't fit the whole story in one, so I wrote three. Still, the story is far too short and very summarized. Know that I have never seen the girl I share about nor have been involved with suicide or counseling those wanting to kill themselves. It was a disturbing 30-45 minutes that transformed my paradigm of the supernatural.

  • @ProChoiceJesus wow really dude. stfu and keep your stupid bible shit to yourself. we came to see lightning, not hear the lies of some jesus freak

  • @ZacGrumbois I'm not interested in what you came to see, or what you want and/or don't want to come from me to this comment box. See, I was once like you, full of vulgarity, filth, insults, ridicule, and violence toward any who believed the silly bible fairy tales about the lies of some Jesus freak. I was a staunch atheist most of my life until I discovered that God is real. The evidence of His non-existence is completely outweighed by evidence of His reality. I pray you find Him before death.

  • @ProChoiceJesus So, you were saved in the name of Jesus then. Read the book of I & II Corinthians and see what it has to do with the story you just wrote about. I think you will find it opens your eyes to truths about visions and such and how they have ceased many years ago. "For when that is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away with." Perfect being the word of God in it's entirety. So very glad you're saved, but visions don't exist in the age of grace...Biblical.

  • @LT1HILLINGHOE The and false assumption that the gifts of the Spirit have ceased is a straw-man, a house of cards built on sand, easily tumbled & blown away by the wind of truth. The biblical "evidence" for the gifts cessation is not there. The one verse you mention is a direct reference to the physical return of Jesus. Read in context it is obvious that's what Paul is speaking of. There only grounds for the cessation of the gifts is in the minds of those who *want* to believe it.

  • @LT1HILLINGHOE The perfect being the cannonization of scripture is not a possibility when the surrounding verses are read in context. I struggled mightily with this subject and this verse for a long time. In studying I have found that those who have dedicated their lives to knowing God's word intimately, the vast majority, interpret this verse as referring to Christ's return. There is only a tiny minority of study defending this verse as being the connonizing of the bible. The gifts live today.

  • @ProChoiceJesus So the perfect holy word of God refers to Jesus as "that" instead of Jesus? You know better than that. For "that" which is perfect, the "that" it is referring to is the Bible...not the Son of God. When was the last time the Bible referred to God as "that?" Jesus is God, God is Jesus along with the Holy Spirit. None are ever referred to as "that." Sorry, but you are misinformed. There are no more visions...they have ceased. Maybe from satan...sure, bot not from God.

  • Startling to me, she was planning on jumping from the very high balcony to attempt to end her life that very morning. Instead, she came forward with a friend at the end of church and received prayer & was set free. I became a Christian after atheism. I found the evidence for Jesus too immense & I was freed from drug addiction in a miraculous way when I converted. I was skeptical of miracles before this instance, but as I watched it happen, my jaw on the floor, I saw that God still does them.

  • @ProChoiceJesus If you were ever a skeptical person you would understand why that isn't proof. Coincidences happen all the time, the fact you saw this comment and responded to it is astronomically unlikely. Even if this did happen, which you have already admitted you can't, you would also have to prove that god had anything to do with this 'miracle'. If you were converted by this, then I doubt you were a skeptic, and if you were you weren't a good one...

  • @XChillX42 You forgot to mention to ProChoiceJesus that his drug addiction probably led to his visions of a suicidal woman. :P

  • ...but the balcony was empty. It was end of service during "ministry time" & the vision wouldn't leave me alone so I went forward & told a minister/friend who got teary-eyed. He said that morning before church during the staff's prayer time, several had the impression there would be someone at church with suicidal intentions (I didn't know this). He went up on stage, shared that & shortly a woman exactly like I "saw" in my vision came down the isle crying...(continued)...

  • * all passengers aboard died *

  • This was on Tv the other day :/ "worlds scariest landings" i thin the program was called. but lightning has no effect on planes whatsoever, just like cars :)

  • 1 word for ths is.....WOW!!!

  • fake i can do the something in after effects cs5 you need to spend more time editing

  • @blackopskillawd you know nothing of this.

  • I remember flying from Charleston to Atlanta back in 1989. It was raining in Charleston but snowing when I got to ATL. We were above the clouds and saw how lightning strikes, and it looks like a snake as the electricity starts to form through the clouds. Too bad digital cameras weren't around back then.

  • i bet that was scary XD

  • wow this is neat how the lightening doesn't do any damage to the plane. I say that is one heck of a mircle there.

  • @Raven5751 believe it or not, i read an article a while back about how pilots tell about what its like to be a pilot (sleeping arrangements, wages, etc) and one thing they mentioned is that planes are built to withstanding lightning, and (if i remember this part correctly) uses that lightning strike as energy as extra power for the plane. google is your friend. lol

  • @NikkeiDS: lol true thanks but it's a cool thing to see though

  • @Raven5751 Well no because planes are designed not to take damage from lightening strikes, how often do you think big hunks of metal flying around in the air are hit by electricity. There is no god magic here just human engineering. -.- Miracles don't actually happen you know...

  • @XChillX42; i respect your opinion about there being no god or no miracles.

  • @Raven5751 it's not an opinion unless you can demonstrate that miracles have actually happened using evidence.

  • @XChillX42: True but there are times when you can't explain certain things in life.

  • @Raven5751 What is your point? so what if there are things we can't explain, if you come home and all your furniture is moved around do you assume a magic man in the sky has done it?

  • @XChillX42: Look you have you opinions about about what you believe in and I have my own bc there isn't no aruging in what we can or can't not see. And when i said that "it's a miracle that no one got harm" I meant the plane and the people in it, so where do all this "proving miracles with evidence" comes into play bc I was simply stating the the fact the plane didn't actually malfunctioned due to the lightening hit on the plane thus causing it to fall.

  • @Raven5751 No, I don't have opinions, or at least they are based on fact. Planes are designed not to malfunction during lighting strikes, thus it's not a miracle it's human engineering, and you can't prove that any miracles have ever happened ergo based on the current I am right until proven wrong. and yeah, I agree there is no arguing, because I am right.

  • @XChillX42: -sigh- i don't have to prove anything. Oh one more thing ummm have you prove the facts of gravity by falling off a bridge?

  • @Raven5751 Well you claimed that this was a miracle, so yes, you have to prove this was a miracle... 'Prove the facts of gravity?' What are you talking about? Gravity is a theory not a fact for one thing, and how would jumping off a bridge 'prove the fact of gravity' any more than dropping a ball. if you hadn't thought of that first, maybe you should jump of a bridge to save humanity from your stupidity.

  • @XChillX42: sure i jump into a bridge but while at it jump into a volcano so you won't spread or infect our future generation from stupidity, bc you have more of it. bye bye and happy jumping.

  • Comment removed

  • @XChillX42 Planes do sometimes experience minor electrical issues after lightning strikes. Once in a great while something major, but rarely harmful to passengers or crew. I can't prove this to you, but I've experienced what the bible calls "gifts of the Spirit." Most startling was a "word of knowledge," (1 Cor. 12:8). At church years ago I had a vision of a woman jumping off the balcony of the theatre we were meeting at during our building's construction. I went to look...(continued)...

  • @Raven5751 Aircraft are designed to be unaffected by lightning strikes. Otherwise air travel would be insanely dangerous.

The miracle is in the design, maybe?

  • @WombleMan: yeah i guess.

  • All airliners are designed to get hit by lightning. Nothing new here, but it is cool to watch.

  • @Brettah31 There have been accidents anyways. Perhaps because we dont know to much abaut the power involved in it.

  • @RKfreestyler That's true. It's not so much that the science behind it is lacking, but more that the conditions vary so much that it is difficult to engineer systems that will handle all scenarios. Too many variables.

  • @Brettah31 Yeah! also the plane isn't on the ground if it does prob some thign will happen.

  • How take down an A-380 ? ... just have a lightning in your pocket ! Just kiddy !
