@CASHTOWN1 yes, i put rockbox on my 5g 30gb, and then i bought a 5g 80gb I put rockbox AND ipod linux on it, it works perfectly

and another thing, the ipod 5g is the latest ipod that is able to run rockbox, so, its basically the best you could get with it (i would never trade my rockbox/linux 5g 80gb, for a 160gb ipod Classic)

yea it works, just choose what kind of ipod u have and it eill install, this video is years old, it downloads and setups automaticly now, years back, youd have to do it yourself, but now its really easy, go for it... good luck

Why the hell did you put "classic, touch, shuffle, iphone" in your tags? Rockbox doesn't work on any of these Apple products. It works on 1st through 5th gen iPods, the Mini, and only the 1st gen Nano.

i have used this mod before and let me tell you, it rocks. i used it on my ipod mini and now im using it on my ipod video 30g.

in reply to inzane, it should not void the warranty as long as you delete the files before sending it to apple for a new ipod :P. and at that note, you shouldnt need a new ipod. this mod has never froze or crashed mine. it is reversable if you do not like it, just delete the folder out of your ipod directory.

I am able to download youtube music videos to my itunes and they go into the movies folder but then when i try to sync to the ipod i get a message"youtube video ......" was not copied to the ipod "my ipod" because it could not be found.
