  • A great performance by the band. I just love the enthusiasm of the conductor. (And I like the march too. Three cheers for W. Rimmer!)

  • Great show! Never get tired of listeneng to this performance. Well Done!

  • did the Sop. miss out a phrase just before the D.C?

  • What a band and what a performace! Fantastic! Such a strong sound with one movment!

  • Brilliant! Having heard this superb band at The Durham Miners Gala play this, I bought the music for our local band.

  • Nice performance - shame 4th man cheers himself which is a tad pretentious as it was not perfect. Great top man though

  • How it looked to me: - the first cheer was for the team, the second was acknowledging a nod of approval from the conductor, I dont think he was cheering himself, although thats what many brass bands do at a contest, they cheer with the audience and at themselves, nothing pretentious about it, just under 5 minutes of top tight playing, even with a couple of blips

  • Maybe you're right - on reflection it is a great performance. Taken back

  • Good luck on Whit Friday, It's not a song though, is it? It's a march.

  • I LOVE THIS! SUCH A GREAT BAND SUCH A TUNE! My brass band are playing this, but this is just AWESOME!

  • Rock on Twissy!!!

  • very tight, very good.

  • Just got back from listening to them play, didn't do this one. Sounds amazing though, better in real life too. Yes it's possible

  • Glyn Williams looks like a fantastic conductor - we all know he's an amazinig Euph player, but fair play looks awesome as a conductor - got the band sounding great too.

As an aside, who's the fanny on Rep who's wearing gloves - it wasn't even cold??!!

  • brilliant march and fantastic principle cornet im going 2 go and listen next year definitley

  • That should have been 1.43, not 0.43

  • This is quality playing all round, tight just how I like it and the principal is well supported. I love the slight touch of rubato at 0.27 & 3.11, 3.15. Is that encouragement or a telling off at 0.43? A cracking performance, thanks for posting banana61.

  • What a knock-out cornet solo!

  • Good march, well played and good principal cornet

  • Well played the principal cornet. Great performance of a great contest march, one of the best around.

  • A well deserved 4th place at Delph. (78 bands played.) 1st prize for cornet at the Grotton location that evening.

  • Thanks for putting this on.. I missed them as I was sitting in the Band Club ... tut tut!

  • fantastic march, fantastic performance!!!!

    Excellent solo cornet!
