  • I have the figure for the Kirk in spacejump suit from the generations toy line.

  • Apparently there was a scene written for Shatner in the 2009 movie, but I believed it was scrapped before it was shot.

  • Before this movie came out they showed some snippets of the set and Shatner was totally in a scene.

  • OMG you trekkies are so f%&king sad! worst video ever and worse comments

  • @playthegameuk

Might I ask what brought you here if you're not a fan of Star Trek? I guess I cant' believe you are a fan if you're going to go hating other fans.

  • fake!!!

  • Yeah, this is from Generations. I read about it, and how Shatner wasn't too happy about having spent so much time on it, and then they cut it. Or something. Was a while ago.

  • @Danielboulder1: Those are some pretty bold statements. Are you sure Mr. Nimoy regets being in 'Star Trek' (2009)? How are you so sure of this? Did you speak with Mr. Nimoy, or someone who represents him? Also, did you have access to the Paramount sound stages, and see them 'bossing him around'? Just asking....

  • @hossola77 Nimoy was actually very emotional about doing the role too. Abrams personally went to Nimoy's house to persuade him and Nimoy was active in promoting the film in order to provide continuity.

  • @hossola77 Daniel's just mad because NuTrek's Enterprise wasn't built with 1960's Era toggles and analog dials, and none of the scenery was made out of cardboard and papier mache.

  • Shatner should be very glad he was not a part of this atrocity. Nimoy is regreting it now that he sees what it stood for. They had him in there for 17 hrs a day and bossed him around .

  • lol i still laugh at that quote.

  • Hilarious! They brought Chekov & Scott back...odd, I thought the actor who played Scott was dead. Old film?

  • @TheRealfishers64 This is actually a deleted scene from Generations.

  • In the Star Trek books James Kirk was revived after his death in Star Trek Generations by Borg tech.

  • @specie8470 Yeah, a book written by Shatner too.

  • This was a deleted scene from Generations movie just before they board the new enterprise B. Good thing about books is that they usually include the deleted parts.

  • Yeah - thats totally a del scene from ST:Generations. I love all the moaners who bitch about the JJ movie. As an Enterprise fan who felt CHEATED by the lame-ass ending, I gotta give it to JJ for the reboot. Did the NX gradually turn into the original 1701 as promised? No. Budget, time and cancellation threats kept that from happening . . . so JJ went ahead and made Enterprise the ONLY cannon in his reboot! HaHa! It was his 'tea-bag' to Berman and Bragga.

  • @supermassively ... Nooo. You are wrong. I find to total disregard for forty years of work, partially based upon Shakespear (and if you contend this, I suggest you watch the entire some 600 episodes) and then WRITE for it. Abbrams "adaptation of Roddenberry's work is a pale representation, lacking in the accurate scientific base that Star Trek is known for. Ron Moore, trained in the Star Trek camp, retooled Battlestar, tightening up the story. Abbrams is a cartoonist.

  • Well lets see... theres grass and not barren rocks. Theres what he says "...jumped out over the Arabian Penninsula..." And the fact that he was not dropped with the rest. And several things mentioned by others...I say Not

  • JJ's work, while impressive, destroyed Roddenberry's vision, which is what Star Trek is all about. I will start a campaign, as did Bjo Trimble, to petition Paramount to instruct JJ to return to the origional story line by any means possible. Call in Q. I, like many hard core Trekkers, have no interest in JJ's scientifically innaccurate, non-canon representation of this series. His job is to unravel the mess he made in the story line.

  • @swoganrich Oh, cut the "CHANGE IS SCARY" crap. You sci-fi fanboys always have trouble accepting the slightest change in anything.

  • What is this crap?! If it's NOT fan-made then I've lost total respect for JJ Abrams. What he did with the 'Star Trek Reboot' was amazing. I'd hate to find out that this $hit was made by him.

  • @borg3of4 Relax. The crummy looking clip's just a deleted scene from Generations, the seventh Trek movie from 94/95 that JJ had nothing to do with.

  • Early production??? hahahahahahaahhaa

  • Im confused

  • sweet

  • That was very funny.)

  • That was very funny.)

  • Also, if Shatner were to be in the new films, then he should get a major role like Nimoy did; he's too iconic for a cameo.

  • A plot line could have the new crew entering a timeline (on the multiverse theory), where the events of Generations didn't happen and "Kirk Prime" is alive. Or (on the time-travel theme) an "Older Kirk" of this new timeline gets involved. The alternate reality's potential is indefinite. Now I'm not saying they should bring him in, I'm just open to the idea. Guardian of Forever, anyone?

  • @fROmTh3fUTURe Ooh, I loved how Kirk and Spock jumped through the portal together back then! It just says everything about them.

  • @fROmTh3fUTURe Alternatively, the new crew could go back to 1986 and bump into the old crew from Star Trek IV.

  • @nrkgalt Haha, now wouldn't that be something!

  • LOL. Like we are to believe Shatner lost 50 ls to do a 10 second cameo in the new Star Trek movie.

  • I like the Nexus. Kirk died twice.

  • aww... I actually liked the nexus movie. always thought the gayest one was where they meet god

  • Fake , but fun.

  • jimmie doohan been dead for years. whack

  • Guinan is still alive thats why she still exists in the nexus .Kirk died so I am sure he can not come from the nexus again the only reason he could come was because he was still alive just did not know it but as he,s dead now even iff he existed there it would be impossible for him to leave . The reason that people do not want to leave the nexus is because they know thereis a part off them that stays so its like a powerfull rope pulling you in not letting go and you have to let go .

  • BULLSHIT!!!!

  • This is a deleted scene from Generations

  • Thats funny, Im pretty sure thats a deleted scen from Gen though... that and Shatner said he would NOT do a Cameo.

  • Ugh. Star Trek Generations deleted scene from the original intro.

  • That's why he wasn't in the movie! He landed in the wrong spot...dumbass

  • And it can't b from 2009 because Dohan died in 05

  • If u read the book before Avenger, (by Shatner) it said he came back

  • i have an enormous knob

  • You know, the first 10 secs of this... video is really catchy. The sombre music, good Quinto's line and this intense emotion on Chris Pike's face... good one.

  • actually, shatner is trying to get his novels cannonized. They are actually quite good. And that would eliminate the need for all this nexus stuff. Kirk already fixed that. Although i forget what happened in the end of the last one to kirk

  • maybe scotty was watching from the afterlife, thought kirk needed help up in ST XI....because this is a time traveling scotty....and he came back to life with 10 minutes of res sickness and durability damage (hes glass now) im sure it HAS to be ST XI SCENE!

  • Cannonly Kirk can be brought back into the series as he's still in the Nexus. ;)

It's possible to enter the Nexus and meet him in the Star Trek Universe, just how picard did.

  • the problem is the new star trek takes place in a alternate timeline so you'll have to have the new alternate characters breach the timeline barrier if there is such a thing and go into the nexus in a convincing manner to meet the original kirk that original spock spoke of to new kirk in the movie. So complicated.

  • Only if you think of time as linear, and the Nexus constrained by universes. We really know jackshit about how the thing actually works, so theoretically, now that we know Kirk Prime's in it, we could pull him out at any time in any universe. It's just that no one in those universes/times know who he is or that he's there. >> It's sci-fi, you can BS anything once you involve a powerful enough force.

It's possible. If it's a good idea.... that's something else.

  • Just my 2 cents. the thing is does the nexus also exist in the alternate timeline and if so does that nexus also link up with the priem timeline nexus so that you can crossover to that nexus. if so great i mean alternate kirk goes into the nexus and pulls out kirk prime into the alternate timeline. It would be great old spock and kirk team up with new spock and kirk.

  • My point is that the Nexus could very well be extradimensional. It needn't involve crossing over into any other Nexus. And really, I think it would necessitate Spock Prime doing the pulling. He's the only one who actually knows what they're looking for, beyond "Like the Captain, but different and older". But I'm sure that a way could be thought up for nuKirk to find Kirk Prime, too...

  • that would be awesome. the new crew are getting their asses kicked by something old spock encountered from the prime timeline spock tells new kirk to find the kirk by going into the nexus. New kirk flies a shuttle in there and gets kirk to save their butts again. :)

  • the problem is the Nexus was crap and we don't want to see it again...

  • The Nexus is accessible to all alternate time lines, in theory, that is how the 'Sphere Builders' are capable of watching the timeline.

  • a-GODDAMN-men

any one worth their salt loves the fanedit version of ST: NEXUS because it proves without a shadow of a doubt they did it for CASH

  • @tvTrequer

But isn't Kirk dead???? He died.. :(

  • @tvTrequer agreed, but he does have a point. Guinan was still there, so Kirk will be in some way :). but, lets hope we never see it again

  • @tvTrequer The Nexus was awesome, perfectly done...much better then the Shatnerverse of books where he seemingly single-handedly defeats the Borg(after they bring him back)

  • @tvTrequer the other problem is that Shatner is kind of an ass, Nimoy worked in the movie because he's a classy motherfucker and he can actually act.

  • @tvTrequer if it means getting Kirk back? I'll sit through another ten minutes of Nexus footage with a big fat smile on my face.

    shatner rules.

  • Your mom is in the nexus.

  • @silikon2 i craked up wen i read that

  • @Spectual1 Actually he's dead because he left the Nexus with Picard.

  • @Spectual1

Except he came out of the nexus and died. So he cant be brought back.

  • @Spectual1 Uh, have you watched the entire movie? Kirk was later killed in that Star Trek movie after getting out of the Nexus to help Picard, remember?

  • @Spectual1 Kirk is not still in the Nexus. He (and Picard) left voluntarily so there is no "echo". The reason Guinan had an echo was because she was ripped from the Nexus against her will by the Enterprise-B.

  • @Spectual1 He died outside the Nexus .... And if you read the novels, was borged

  • @Spectual1 people so easily forget that guinan managed to exist in both the nexus and in reality as well, is it not fair to suggest that when someone leaves the nexus they return to the standard realm while they also stay in the nexus, that could mean shatner can be reborn as he was when he entered the nexus everytime he leaves it or somebody finds him and brings a new shatner out, the idea works as long as its carefully implemented

  • @TheLydianRocks

It's amazing to me how so many people can watch a movie and not listen to the words they speak.

Nexus Guinan STATED that she was "An Echo" of the person Picard knew.

She -as a person- was outside of it, in the real world. Once you leave the nexus, because it is timeless you are technically still in it. But as a corporeal being, if you leave you are out of it - just as the same as you step out of a room you are no longer in that room.

You can only leave the Nexus once.

  • @rivers3d You just completely contradicted yourself.

  • @Spectual1

Uh, as I seem to recall, he was killed and had a funeral witnessed by picard at the end of generations

  • @Spectual1

    Actually, Kirk left the Nexus.

  • @Spectual1. well, no... The events that led to Kirk being drawn into the nexus happened after the events in Star Trek XI, in the original timeline. This is a completely different timeline, so the nexus has no effect.

  • @richwutang Considering the Nexus exists outside of time, that door is open in both Alternate Timelines.

  • @Spectual1 "Canonically". That's the word you're looking for.

  • @Spectual1 No, CM Punk kicked his ass and sent him to The Corre.

  • @Spectual1 1, Kirk isn't in the nexus, he's dead. He died in generations after picard convinced him to come out of the nexus to help him defeat soren. Secondly, now with the alternate timeline, kirk may not be dead. it's very possible that shatner can make an appearance in the new films

  • @Spectual1 : Doesn't ST XI set up an alternate time line? An alternate time line may not necessarily result in Kirk meeting his end on the Enterprise B in the ridiculous Nexus, though it could. As Spock said in ST VI, there are "infinite possibilities." Let's just hope JJ and Co. find a way someday to end Kirk in a much more heroic and epic way than the 'ol gang did for him in Generations.

  • @agroppe YER RIGHT... Now this new movie changes alot of things that can happen or has happened in the future... seeing that spoc doesn't have his mother and kirk doesn't have his father... This movie was awesome and explained alot of the void that was missing from the other movies...

  • @Spectual1

Kirk died in star trek generations.

  • @Spectual1 actually picard brought out of the nexus to help fight the main bad guy i cant remember the name of and he died getting the remote to turn of the weapons cloaking so picard could deactivate it

  • @Spectual1 You're a retard. He left the Nexus and died in the first Next Gen film. Get good, newb.

  • hes in the nex movie because abrams made it possible

  • 0 lol

  • oh noes, capt kirk dove through an field aging ray beams! ..somehow it also added 100 pounds. hmm best get him to doc mccoy

  • I never watched the show Star Trek, but I really liked the movie. A lot.

The same thing goes for X-Men; Origins. I never watched the show, except for a cartoon when I was little, but I really loved the movie.

  • Well hopefully now you will go BACK and watch the enrtire canon & your journey to Trekkiedom will be compleat!

    My young Trekii!

  • The movie was great, but it wasn't really true ST. In fact, they advertised it as such ("not your fathers ST")

I would reccomend Star Trek: The motion Picture, or Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan, Or any of the next generation films.

  • star trek is a heck of a lot better than the dark knight!!!!!!!

  • Agree completely. Just saw it last night finally I was really impressed.

  • @LegoLee329 i really dont see how dark knight is being compared with star trek seeing as they are completely different genres

  • @LegoLee329

    I seriously hope you're joking.

  • @LegoLee329 Yeaaaaa.....no. Sorry, but no. The new Star Trek was a much needed breath of fresh air after several abysmal Star Trek sequels and the end of the television series back in the mid 2000s thanks to Enterprise, but it was nowhere near the greatness of The Dark Knight. I'm not saying that Batman has a perfect track record, but for its two bad movies, i.e. Batman Forever and Batman and Robin, Star Trek has many more, including Insurrection, Nemesis, and the god-awful Generations.

  • @TheOmegaParadigm umm I have to disagree with this, in my opinion all the TNG films were fab...in fact, the only Star Trek film I didn't like was Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.

  • @babylon218 Really? Even Generations? They killed off Kirk in such an inglorious, undignified way. If that wasn't enough to make you hate it, and it should be, the plot of firing a missile into the solar corona so the villain Sauron could use it to wish for an alternate reality was one of the worst ideas in the franchise, let it be the films or series. Insurrection and Nemesis were better, but not by much. In fact, I'd put First Contact on there to. Why does the Borg need a queen, any way?

  • @TheOmegaParadigm Kirk died saving an ENTIRE civilisation on Veridian IV. He died a hero. SORAN was a nut for starters, I expect he would have blown up the Hobus star with a combination of protomatter, Killium and something else if he hadn't died and given Taris and her Iconian masters that honor. The borg need a Queen to organize them. AND WHAT WAS WRONG WITH NEMESIS?!

  • it started REALLY well, until that parachute thing

  • That partial, deleted scene at the end is from Star Trek Generations which was deleted out of the film.

  • I always found it interesting that they produced an Orbital Para-sailing Action Figure of Kirk for a scene that never made it into the final cut.

  • funny clip

  • Fake! That is not from Star Trek XI!

Its a deleted scene from Star Trek VII.

You can see James Dohan (old Scotty), who acually was dead when shooting Star Trek XI.

  • are you sure?

  • yeah. that is REALLY old footage.

  • Thank you, Captain Obvious!

    *rolls eyes*

  • Some people just don't get it...like Heti...Heti ain't never gonna get the joke man....never

  • @tvTrequer well yeah he is

  • @tvTrequer sarcasm = win

  • @tvTrequer yes Heti is right. This Scene is from Generations. Its not in the final Movie, but its in the Book version of the film.

  • @tvTrequer Umm... yes.....

  • @tvTrequer

Yes, heti is right. its a deleted scene from generations

  • @tvTrequer Yes, James Doohan had sadly departed for the great film set in the sky waaaaaay before filming started on ST XI. And William Shatner himself wrote about that particular cameo being filmed for Generations in his autobiography of the Star Trek movies.

Although I do understand that there really WAS supposed to be a Shatner cameo, but it got cut when Shatner insisted that he wanted more than a cameo. Dunno how true that story is.

  • @tvTrequer 100%

  • @tvTrequer Doohan died in 2005.

  • @tvTrequer Yup

  • @tvTrequer Yes. He passed several years ago.

  • @paradisebound61 I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic... lol

  • @tvTrequer

He is right, this is a deletet Scene from Star Trek Generations!

  • lol yeah right. I saw this footage myself at Comic-Con, genius!

  • @Heti No. Dude. Def from Star Trek XI. You're just crazy.

  • @Heti Wow, sherlock....

  • @Heti Yea this is a deleted scene from Generations

  • @Heti brilliant observation. how long did it take you to come up with that analysis cause it only took me 1 second

  • @Heti it's not supposed to be real, it's just for laughs. and if it's supposed to be real, then the uploader did a terrible job

  • This reminds me of one of the Pocket Books I've read recently that was a trilogy, Crucible... This seems like it was taken right from that.

  • Ah!!! That is so funny! Great work and cute idea: once that you thought it I can understand that you couldn't resist! ^_^

It really seems an outtake from ST XI! And I wish so much to see Shatner back as Kirk!

P.S.They could have left this scene in the fifth movie, it is thrilling!

  • That's a outtake from ST XI... Look title!

  • from which film is that scene?
