i dont think anyone exclusively uses that chant for soccer. I've heard that chanted at every kind of sporting event. University of Albany uses that as one of their main basketball cheers. (except instead of ole they say U A)

Wow harsh. UK has always been relevant (until recent years of course.) Our penalties were in the late 80s early 90s....so our success in the 90's doesn't really fall in the category.

Also, we didn't hijack Memphis. Cal has always wanted to be at UK and told his players not to back out of their contracts. We had nothing to do with their players leaving, and thus far only 1 has followed him to UK.

We'll see how it all pans out; here's to the 2009-2010 Memphis Wildcats of Lexington. Yeah, yeah, I know it's harsh. I just found it funny because of all of the College B-Ball forums - Uk fans used to Diss Cal and Discredit the success of the Memphis program. I guess because they're in the same Geo area.

I don't really like either so it doesn't matter all that much, In fact, I'm wasting way to much time on this.. I just like irony and hypocrisy, but who's not guilty of that from time to time..

UNC Hijacked Kansas with Roy Williams if you are saying that coaches getting promotions are all being hijacked. If it was a lateral move for Calapari I could understand, but it was a move from a good mid-major team to a huge program with nearly unlimited funds. You can't hijack a mid-major coach.

Last time i checked, Roy Williams had the class to refuse any of the prospects he recruited to join his new team. It's a hijack because UK FINALLY realized it was incapable of building a program, so they stole Memphis' head coach assistants & recruits (unlike ROY). Kid. desperation... stinky.. Go Memphis Wildcats...

That was only because UNC already had a better recruiting class than Kansas at the time....but I see no need to argue this point, I simply need to say that KY has 7 national titles and the winningest team in NCAA history. Memphis is in Conference USA...UK would have won 30 games the past 5 years playing Marshall and Southern Miss twice a season.

I may have a twang but I can spell and know the names of teams...It is Gardner Webb. It is ok though because Memphis will return to a no name mid-major that will occasionally compete in the NCAA tourney field and UK will be a better program in the eyes of every person in the world except someone who thinks there is a "Garner Webb". Thanks for letting coach Cal get some practice for a real basketball program!

Are you serious?! I'm not a Memphis Fan. Gardner Webb. Garner Webb; it's a no name school that UK lost to. Who cares how you spell it. The point being if UK couldn't beat them, then i seriously doubt they'd have gone undefeated in C-usa.

Virginia Military, how's the spelling on that? I don't know how well Cal will do at UK in the SEC either. lost 3 out of 4 to Bruce Pearl at UTK...
